With our getting to bed early last night was it any wonder that our bodies would want us to get up early this morning. Since I had looked at the forecast before going to bed I wanted to see how accurate the Guessers had been. For a change they had the Feel Like part of the forecast at -4 F (20 C) right on the money and we are still in the Fall. Wonder what it will be like in the middle of Winter when the temperatures are normally the coldest?
Looking outside even the Sun was helping to clean off the Balcony Rails and whatever was on the vehicles in the lot.
After breakfast and only a short time on the Computer I started working on a few more of the apartment projects. As soon as I was dressed I straightened up the bed then laid the Headboard across the top of the Mattress.

While Kathy got dressed I worked back in the kitchen. With limited counter space I mounted the Under Cabinet Paper Towel and Saran Wrap Holders as well as a couple of Magnetic Door Latches which made a big difference. I’ll keep chipping away at those Door Latches between other Projects.

Kathy was back in the Living Room checking through the last of the Storage Containers that were there so I returned to the Bedroom to work on the Headboard. When we sold our Bedroom Set before going Fulltime we only kept our New Mattress and Box-Spring. We then added a metal Bed Frame so we wouldn’t be sleeping on the floor. This beautiful Wooden Headboard we now have was purchased at a reasonable price on Marketplace. The problem is it weighs nearly a Hundred Pounds and it wasn’t yet fastened to the Frame which I worried could topple over on us.

Yesterday we purchased Six Inch Long Carriage Bolts so I could make it happen. With only a Four Inch Long Bit after marking where I needed to drill through Front and Back the Headboard and Bed Frame are now joined as One.
Kathy made Split Pea Soup with Cheese on Crackers for lunch along with a Yogurt Cup for dessert.

Since we moved in we have been paying for Cable Television for Two Units. I haven’t had the time to hook them up yet so thought that this afternoon would be a good time. After unwrapping the Televisions and hooking up what I could I checked the Plug in the Living Room wall. There is no Cable Connection in the Bedroom and I planned on mounting it myself by simply drilling through the wall but there was a problem. The existing Connection is soldered together so instead I’ll have Cogeco come in to set it up.

I moved over to start setting up our Desk but waited until Kathy was Off-Line because I needed to shut the Modem. I simply moved it from One Power Source to another then turned it back on. The problem was it would not turn back on. I spent nearly an Hour on the phone with Tech Support and they couldn’t get it to function. They recommended returning it to the local outlet and get another Modem.

Kathy made us Macaroni and Cheese for supper before we headed out. When we left though we didn’t go empty handed instead we brought Three Storage Containers with us.

Our first stop was our Storage Unit at Guardian Storage where those Containers joined the others that will be seeing the Yard Sale in the Spring.

Next we went to the Cogeco outlet at the Devonshire Mall. After explaining what had transpired today they had no problem exchanging it for me.

We were almost back to the apartment when Kathy remembered she had an MRI for 8:30. We turned around and headed back to Windsor Regional Hospital where it would take place. I dropped Kathy off close to the entrance before going to park. They told us we were too early to go have a Coffee at the in house Tim Horton’s. When we returned they informed us that Kathy wasn’t there for an MRI but a CAT Scan. Those Hospitals are like Mazes from One Area to another.

When we finally got back to the apartment it only took a Minute for me to connect the Modem and Fifteen Minutes for the Tech to have us back On-Line. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  2. It looks like you guys are going to be in the apartment for the long run. It will be nice to have everything set up just the way you used to have it and feel comfortable again. Doesn't the apt. have basement storage units for the renters?
