I was sitting at my Computer by 7:00 this morning. This allowed me to leave a few more Comments on the Blogs that I was reading before Kathy joined me for breakfast. When we were finished eating we started making a List of things that we needed to do as well as things we needed to bring back to the apartment.
Looking out the Balcony Door there was noticeably less SXXW in the piles made by the plow. Checking The Weather Network it showed a much slower decrease in temperatures happening through the next couple of weeks along with some wet weather starting tomorrow.
For lunch Kathy made another Pork Roast Sandwich with Cranberry Sauce that we shared. We also shared some Low Sodium Chips with Chicken Noodle Soup then topped it off with a Blueberry Yogurt Cup for dessert. Not wanting any unwanted guests we made certain to do the Dishes before heading out the door.

We stopped at Shoppers Drug Mart where we were unsuccessful in finding Gloves that are meant to help calm the Arthritis in Kathy’s Hands.
Next we stopped at Home Hardware and picked up a few things from our List to help keep us comfortable in the Apartment.

As we were slowly making our way towards the Trailer we stopped at the Dollarama where I got some cheap Bungee Cords. For each stop we were making we were slowly crossing things off our list.

Starting to be concerned that the weather could change we finally made it to Guardian Storage and our Trailer. I let Kathy inside to start cleaning out our Clothes Closet while I laid a Plastic Tarp on the ground near the wheels. I then applied the Wheel Covers to add more protection to the Tires from the elements. Having installed Grommets in the Covers years ago I then lay on the Plastic Tarp to fasten them to the Wheels with a Bungee Cord. Even though I was laying on the Tarp somehow each wheel I did my feet found nearby puddles to wash my shoes in.

We took a few more Storage Bins to our Storage Unit. The reason for that is because in the Spring our Trailer is heading back to the Jayco Factory in Indiana for a repeat of the repair they did in 2018. The problem is we have to remove all personal belongings before it can be shipped. I did leave the Solar Panels, the Battery Bank and Inverters in place the last time with a picture of them in place and a warning that they should be there on their return.
Still needing a few things on our List we stopped at the East End Walmart. The place was packed with people already starting to do their Christmas Shopping. We found One article but were not happy with the quality.
It was past 4:30 so we stopped at A&W where we used coupons to buy our supper at a savings.
As we were about to leave we looked across the parking lot and thought we’d try Home Depot. I asked the first Associate we saw when inside and he told us the aisle, how far down and what side to look on. What a time saver that was.
With still One thing on our List we went over to Winners. They are similar to Marshals in the US and normally have everything. Not today.
We then headed over to JYSK on Howard Avenue and they surprised us by not having what we were looking for on the List. They did however have a beautiful Panoramic Picture of a Lake surrounded by Mountains that Kathy fell in love with and it wasn’t that expensive. They also took my E-mail Address so if it goes “On Sale” in the next Forty-Five Days other then Black Friday or Boxing Day they’ll refund me the difference.

While Kathy checked out Marshall’s next door I put the Picture in the Car. She struck out there as well.
We then tried the West End Walmart to see if they might have what we were looking for. Again we struck out but we had a surprise. It’s been about a Month since we were last there and they completely “Flipped the Store”. It’s far better organized now.
We stopped at the Real Canadian Superstore and Home Sense before finally heading back to the apartment. Again I had to carry everything up by hand because there were no Shopping Carts downstairs. Sometimes people bring them upstairs then leave them in the hall but some people keep them in their apartments. As soon as I started to write this Blog I remembered to write it on our New List. We have a Two Wheel Shopping Cart in our Storage Unit but it’s not doing us any good there.

With wet weather forecasted for tomorrow we’ll see what we’ll be up to. Kathy went On-Line looking for the missing Item and it’s no longer available anywhere. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. I'm tired just from reading all the places you guys went to today.

Do you all have tenant meetings? I would bring up the fact that shopping carts are never available.

  2. Hi folks, have enjoyed your blog for a long time, particularly your solar/ wind projects. It seems a shame that Jayco is unable to take your unit now rather than spring- perhaps a lawyer might be in order?Kathy might wish to try leaving out potatoes & tomatoes from her diet as they are from the nightshade family & I found a significant reduction in arthritis effects.Last in one of previous blog I think you noted the RVH issue was cracking at the front cap joint-FYI, a unit I had flexed considerably with any significant weight on the rear end.All the best & trust the winter won’t be too long!

  4. I love it when you hit the stores and find everything. Hauling it all up stairs is another story. Even one of those foldable basket things would help. You certainly got in a lot of my favorite pastime ... shopping!!

  5. How do you find the energy to go to so many places in one day. I counted 12 stops! Have you heard of these gloves for arthritis? https://www.tommiecopper.com/women/gloves
