Busy and Tired Moving.

As mentioned by a few comments it is unlike us to miss posting our Blog by more than a day. We are not only in the process of moving into our apartment but moving out of our RV. We have to be certain it is completely Winterized along with removing all Food and Freezable Items.

Before we went Fulltime we lived in a Two Bedroom Apartment where the second bedroom served as an Office/Exercise Room. Even though we purged most of our belongings like many others we held on to what we thought were things we just couldn’t live without.

Now we are finding out we don’t need half of what we kept. As we re-establish ourselves into community living we will wait until Spring to rid ourselves of the Unnecessary STUFF that we recognized before as being Anchors around our necks. Spring brings out the Bargain Hunters who we hope will be willing to help us out. If not then the Local Charities will benefit as much as we will.

Our move from Wildwood Golf and RV Park was accomplished on October 31st entirely in the Rain. We managed to get as much as we could loaded into the car moved into the apartment for the night because the rain didn’t stop until the next afternoon and the temperature dipped below the Freeze Mark that night.

We slept on the Bedroom Floor on a stack of Blankets as a mattress. It was a Two Tylenol morning for the both of us.

We moved a load with both our Truck and Car from the Storage Unit during the day of things we knew that were needed at the apartment. Once that was done we we went to the local U-Haul and rented a 15 Foot Unit to haul the Heavier Furniture. The reason we waited for the Truck was our grandson Tyler and one of his friends volunteered to help us. We wouldn’t have not gotten as much as we did if not for them but we made sure they were rewarded for their efforts.

The building we moved into lost their
Freight Elevator on the 29th which meant everything had to go up using the personal elevators. The fact that there were Five New Tenants moving in and One Tenant leaving late all on the 1st did not help.

Kathy and I have continued organizing but tomorrow we have to finish up the Trailer as we have Daytime Highs that will just reach the Freeze Mark this coming week.

Tonight’s Post is being brought to you courtesy of Micky D WiFi at the cost of an expensive meal. We are hoping to have our own system up and running tomorrow. Sorry no pictures tonight. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. I'm sure it's nice to be in the apartment and hopefully all the hard work will be done soon.

  2. I can't imagine sleeping on a pile of blankets. But one has to to what one has to do. Hang in there. You are both going to just need and sit with you feet up for a bit once you are done.

  7. I bet that for once since your lay-off you are glad to be job free as I can only imagine how much difficult this move would be if you were working.
