Change Of Plans, Oops, Unbelievable and More Christmas Shows.

Call us Slackers or whatever but we slept in past 8:00 this morning and yet Kathy was still feeling tired. After breakfast we took our Coffee/Tea to the Computers. We were able to communicate each time we moved from One Site to another about our plans for the day.

Kathy had planned on doing more Grout cleaning. Even though she has problems with her Arthritic Hands she still wants to get that task completed before getting into something else.

Since our area is experiencing a slight warm spell (50 F- 10 C) I wanted to get back to the Trailer to get as much done at emptying it out before the Freezing Temperatures return. Once it gets too cold it takes more energy to operate the Slides and is not good on the Slide Toppers or the Seals and is hard on our bodies.
At 11:00 we decided to have an early lunch so we could get started doing what we wanted to do. The Split Pea Soup along with Cheese and Crackers helped to warm us up inside then the Strawberry/Rhubarb Pie helped sweeten us up.
Our Trailer in its Winter Home.
Kathy understood what I was saying and decided to come with me. We were at the Trailer at Guardian Storage by 12:30 and after letting Kathy in the Trailer I started taking things out of the Basement and disassembling the Bicycle Carrier. That was when Kathy came out to talk to me. She couldn’t pack much without Boxes or Storage Bins. Oops!
With a bit of a load in the Truck we headed over to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit to get Boxes and Bins that we had stored there. We also took the time to empty the back of the Truck in our Storage Unit.
Even with the slightly warmer temperature with the cold North Wind blowing it didn’t feel warmer. We had just brought the Boxes and the Bins inside the Trailer around 2:30 when that cold hit our bodies. Since the Trailer has been Winterized we decided to take a break. Kathy suggested an early supper.
Using Coupons we went to Burger King where we comforted ourselves as well as fed ourselves. That added more energy to our steps so we headed back to the Trailer.
We worked until 4:30 filling Four Boxes that would go to the Storage Unit along with a Box and Three Shopping Bags that came back to the apartment with us. The fact that we were living in our Trailer it is unbelievable how much we were carrying inside.
Different views of our Christmas Cactus.
It was nearly 5:00 when we arrived at McDonald’s where we enjoyed a Coffee and a Croissant as a snack. As we were about to leave we took advantage of having our cups refilled.
There were no Shopping Carts downstairs when we arrived so I simply went upstairs and got our Two Wheel Shopping Cart to haul things from the Truck to our Apartment.
We watched the 6 o’clock Local News as well as a couple of Hallmark Christmas Movies. It is definitely the Season. Still can’t get my Card Reader to work so hopefully I’ll find my USB one tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. I do not think anyone would call you slackers for sleeping past 8:00 a.m. in particular after all the work both of you have been doing.

I hope the warm wave continues so you can finish emptying your RV and finally get to relax and enjoy your new apartment.

  2. Isn't it amazing how much stuff we all have and think we need it? When I carry our belongings into the travel trailer I realize how heavy everything is and remind myself not to overload it as they are not made for it. Being retired we can get up when we want and don't have to feel bad for sleeping in. Just enjoy life and every day!

  3. As we can no longer RV, we are selling ours. Leonard is unable to assist. Therefore, every time I trudge to the mailbox, I bring in some stuff. Never realized had much duplicates having a house and an RV causes. Gonna take me some time for sure. Our house sits back from the road and our RV sites about 150 feet. Feels further!
