More Organizing With Plenty Of Cold Weather.

It seems that we’ve fallen back into our routine of waking when the Sun peaks through the Windows like it used to do in the Trailer. Since the Sun also seems to be arriving later in the morning that also means we are are sleeping until nearly 8:00. After finishing breakfast we made an updated List of things we needed while shopping as well as from the Trailer and Storage Unit.

We continued picking through the few Boxes and Storage Containers we still have in the apartment. Like living in a RV everything has a place so if there was no place to put it we just left it where it was.

I needed to do some measuring so we would have some sizes when we were out. Then I starting to move a few things that were stopping us from arranging the Furniture the way we wanted. As mentioned in yesterday’s Blog we stopped at Canadian Tire last evening where I picked up a few Cable Connectors. By using a 90 Degree Connection I was able to bring the Desk much closer to the wall but it just wasn’t working the way I had hoped.

After doing a few other things Kathy made us Italian Wedding Soup for an early lunch. It helped to warm us up as well as satisfying our cravings.

Our first top was at the new Lowe’s where we managed to find a few things that will help us out. Lately Kathy is finding that when she bends over to look in the Kitchen Cabinets she seems to loose her balance. What we found were Full Length Wire Baskets that she will be able to simply pull out allowing her to see exactly what is in each cabinet without bending over. They only had Three in stock today so we’ll wait to pick up more. Also if we ever move they will be taken with us.

We also found the Vertical Blinds we want for the Balcony Door which we can use for regulating the heat of the Sun in the Summer as well as giving us some privacy. We were also looking for a small Bookcase but the ones they had were just too wide.

We then tried Home Depot looking for the Bookcase but they had nothing for us to see.

We headed over to Guardian Storage and were surprised to see a large Road Grader levelling the lot. By knocking down the high points it was also filling in the pot holes. We stopped at the Trailer where Kathy gathered more Books to bring to the apartment while I found a special folding stool and my special Tool Container. We then went to our Storage Unit where we did some grocery shopping.

Our next stop was Zehr’s where we had about Eight items in our cart.

When we got back at the apartment I dropped Kathy near the front door because the Cold Wind is making it difficult for her to breathe. Our high temperature for the day was only 36 F (2 C). Since there are only small Shopping Carts in the building I would take One out to the parking lot load it then bring it inside the back door where Kathy would take it upstairs. I would then repeat the process with another Cart.

Once everything was in the apartment Kathy started getting things ready for supper while I set about relocating a Cable Plug. It was a little tricky because I only moved it an Inch and a Quarter. If you look at it now it’s impossible to tell that it was moved.

We are both feeling tired considering that we started doing this Nine Days ago and there is still more to do. We’ve also noticed that we are so focused on what we are doing that we are forgetting to take pictures. Sorry! Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  2. Moving always requires SO much more than we realize. The cold weather probably isn't helping. It should slow down soon!

  3. I think it is a wonderful idea to have shopping carts for the tenants to use to bring things from their cars to their apartments.

Hope you soon get to slow down and enjoy the fruits of all your hard work.
