After nearly freezing on Friday night we left the Blue Flame Heater on the very lowest setting last night. Along with the fact that we changed our Bed Sheets to our Winter Sheets we were all snugly warm and slept the entire night. By sleeping so comfortably we were both awake and starting our day by 7:30 this morning.
Kathy decided that since I have cereal for breakfast at least Five days a week that it would be nice to have something different this morning. She made Eggs over easy on Toast which was more then filling and a delicious change from the cereal.

We took our Coffee/Tea over to the Computers and had the chance to get caught up reading a lot of the Blogs that I’ve missed during the week. With our busy schedule we finished our chores and were out the door shortly after 11:00 headed towards Windsor.
It was a nice change to see less traffic on the roads. Our first stop was at Wendy’s to have lunch. Since it was too cool to be having a Frosty with our lunch we added their Chili Cheese Nachos from the Value Menu to our Chicken Wraps along with a Seniors Decaf Coffee as a drink for $9.22 total.
We then collected our Mail at Guardian Storage before going to Princess Auto. I needed to replace the Headgear on my Welding Shield that seemed to be breaking on Friday.
There are Twenty-Four Inflatable Figures in this front yard.
Think of the Electric Bill.
Even though our appointment was for 1:00 we were scoping out the address when Kathy decided 12:30 was close enough. Diane was more then happy to see us there early and what she was selling will more then meet our needs at an exceedingly low price.
We stopped at the Bulk Barn where we picked up some snacks at reasonable prices. I got a couple Pounds of Saltan Rains and Peanuts while Kathy got some Pitted Dates. If we are going to snack on something it might as well be healthy besides these will last us at least a month.

We headed back to Guardian Storage and went to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit where we had no problem adding our recent acquisition in with the rest of our belongings.
We still had time to use up so we headed to Walmart to do some walking. It seemed that everyone else on the east side of town had the same idea as the place was packed. Kathy found a few things in the foundation department that she needed. She also commented that my Safety Shoes were looking quite dirty. Explaining that it was just dirt didn’t help and I ended up getting a pair of Safety Boots that will be better for Winter Wear and Hiking.

Around 3:30 we drove over to our daughter Karen’s house in Tecumseh for a 4:30 dinner invitation. Karen and Greg were already busy getting things ready and didn’t need any help. Tyler went and picked up Greg’s mother Rose around 5:00. We were all visiting before and after the meal because everything tasted so good hardly a word was spoken during the meal as everyone was busy eating. There was a Caesar Salad, Steamed Green Beans, Roasted Potatoes with Mushrooms, Grilled Chicken, Vegetable Spaghetti along with Italian Sausages. Everything was seasoned perfectly.

Karen and Greg were surprised that the only thing I had seconds on was the Caesars Salad and Green Beans. I’m trying to behave. While Kathy talked with Rose, Tyler took me outside to show me the Tool Tote that he made at Work. He’s not even in an Apprenticeship and already has quite a collection of tools that he uses nearly every day.

before the Cake was in front of him.
Back around the dining table we had a Belated Birthday Celebration for Tyler who turned Eighteen this past Wednesday. Cake and Ice Cream along with hot cups of Tea were served. There was a lot of joking which Tyler took easily. It was close to 7:00 when we said our Good-Nights and headed for Home.
We stopped at Pioneer gas station to top the Car with Gasoline. For a vehicle that gets nearly Thirty Miles to a Gallon we’re going through a lot of Gasoline.

We have a later appointment tomorrow so I’m hoping we’ll have some good news to share. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. The inflatable figures reminded me of my uncle. He is a bit...hmmm..."frugal" but come Halloween and Christmas he forgets about the light bill and splurges on his lighted decorations.

Your daughter looks so young to be the mother of an eighteen years old. I think most Walmarts are super packed on Saturdays regardless of location.

  2. All those places Kathy and yourself have to visit does rack up the mileage on an auto.
