Having
left our Blue Flame Heater on its very lowest setting before
going to bed last night I was a little concerned to be seeing my
breathe inside the Trailer when I got up this morning. As soon
as I saw the Pilot Light was out on the Heater I knew
what the problem was as it has happen before. After quickly getting
dressed I headed out to open the valve on the Second Propane Tank. I
went back inside and had the Heater going at a slightly raised
setting in no time.
We
had another Lite-Breakfast before taking our Coffees over
to the Computers. Between reading different things we
discussed what we needed to do today as there is a lot of Cold Wet
Weather heading our way.
By
10:00 we had finished our Second Cup and were heading outside
to pack away more of our belongings. Some will take up residence in
our Storage Unit until we get our Trailer back from the
Jayco Factory again in the later
part of spring. The rest will find its way to our Balcony as
well as inside the Apartment itself.
It
was nearly noon by the time I had secured everything on this load on
the Truck. That meant we had already worked off our Lite
Breakfast and with more work to do at the Storage Unit we
ate a more filling lunch. On Tuesday Kathy had been cooking our
supper in the Crock Pot when Tim arrived with the
Snowmobile Trailer to move our Garden Shed. For lunch we
had Chicken, Potatoes and Carrots topped off
with a Yogurt Cup for dessert.
It
didn’t take long to get to Guardian
Storage in Windsor
because most people were at work. We spent a bit of time rearranging
things and unloading the Truck. What we did today will make
things much easier when it’s time to move things into the
Apartment. At one point I had Kathy move the Truck
and just as she was about to pull ahead a Car pulled in front
of her and stopped. Finally she had to lay on the Horn because
the guy was Texting on his phone and hadn’t seen the truck.
We
stopped at the Real Canadian Superstore
again today. We needed a few more ingredients for what we’ll be
bringing to the Halloween Party
tomorrow when Kathy spotted a Cupcake Cake for the occasion.
That along with a few other things that were not on our Shopping
List made their way Home
with us.
At
Home we had phone message to call
Ana the Apartment Manager. She knows we are living in our RV
and our urgency to get out of the cold. The old tenant is moving out
early and once she’s certain it is in move in condition we might be
able to start bringing our things in on Wednesday.
After
getting everything put away Kathy served Greek Macaroni Salad
along with Green Beans to go with the Half Slab of Spare
Ribs that we picked up at the Deli Counter at the grocery
store. There was so much meat on those ribs we should have saved some
because we were both stuffed when we finished. No dessert was served.
Since
it was only 4:30 and we didn’t want anything to happen to the
Halloween Cake we thought that we
would deliver it along with our trees to Amherstburg.
Kevin had a laugh at the Cupcake Cake thinking it was cute.
The Trees we plan on having on our Balcony but until we
are moved in they’ll stand in front of our Garden Shed.
After carrying the first one and finding out just how heavy it was I
used the Utility Cart to move the second one.
On
the way back to McGregor we were
surprised to see not only the Trolley that visits the Local
Wine Makers but Birds. There were Thousands filling
the sky almost like the Alfred Hitchcock movie. It appears that they
will soon be heading South as well.
All those specks in the sky are Birds. |
After
getting the Dishes
cleaned up we settled in at our Computers.
It was barely 8:00 when we were both having trouble keeping our eyes
open. The low tonight is supposed to be the Freezing
Mark.
We’ve still got a lot to do before
the end of the month.
Thank
you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

I certainly know what you mean about running out of propane in the middle of the night. I sure wish there was an accurate gauge for propane tanks so we could enjoy a good nights sleep in warmth.
ReplyDeleteNice to hear you might get into the apartment early.
It will be good to get in the apartment and settled in. Those ribs sure look delicious.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your apartment will be ready early. It sounds like it's getting too chilly for an RV. Love the cupcake cake!!
