When
I arrived at Work this morning
the first thing I did was to check if the TIG Welding Machine
had been repaired. Since the Supervisor was the one who opened
the door this morning he was quick to point out that the Electrician
had done a temporary repair and would return soon with the proper
parts to fix it properly. What the Electrician had done was to
use a full roll of Electrical Tape to stop the post from
contacting the Machine’s Frame. Too bad he didn’t notice
that the TIG Torch Block was in fact now touching the
Machine’s Frame.
I
spent most of the day working on anything other then the welding
itself. Making adjustments so the pieces would fit perfectly. Bolting
the Sides in place not only on the First Floor Pan
on the Rotisserie but on the Second Floor Pan that I
assembled on the Welding Bench.
I
finally located materials that I could use as an Insulator to
place between the TIG Torch Block and the Machine’s Frame
before giving it a try. With no sparks flying as I proceeded to try
using the TIG function to weld Aluminium. Someone had
changed some of the settings but with a few adjustments this Machine
was running smoother then it has since I started working with it
back in July.
I
was welding together a Tailgate when the Supervisor
came over to see how the Machine was running. I told him that
I had been hesitant on using it and why. Then I really made him smile
when I said “Somethings wrong because I’m not getting Zapped and
the Torch was staying cool.”
Soon
the Owner’s Brother showed up with the parts needed to do a
modification to the Second Aluminium Project. He showed me how
this had to be put together then expressed a concern. I told him
about a simple modification that I had suggested to his Brother
that he had rejected.
It
was at that time the Owner came around and was really
impressed at the difference in the way the TIG Machine was
operating. His Brother had gotten the pieces I had created and
showed the Owner how they would benefit the Project.
Guess what I have to add to that Second Aluminium Project in
the morning.
Kathy
made certain that the Water Heater was on when I got Home.
That warm shower felt wonderful. To save time we were out the door
before 4:30 heading back to Windsor where
we stopped at Wendy’s for
supper. The food was made quickly and we didn’t have any dishes to
clean up afterwards. Also the fact that we ordered from the Value
Menu helped keep the costs very low.
We
were early for our appointment and Brenell was waiting for us. We had
the chance to see not One but Two different Units.
Even though they have both been used and need some cleaning with a
slightly more reasonable price then most have asked we think we may
have come to the end of our search.
We
stopped at the Great
Canadian Superstore to
pick up a few groceries. Some will help us through the week while
others will be used for our Merry
Thanksmas Celebration
that we’ll be celebrating with our Family
this coming Weekend.
Thank
you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
