Back
to near Summer-like temperatures this morning it was quite
comfortable driving in to Work.
Since I’d barely any time to start building the Frames for
Aluminium Projects Three and Four yesterday I was truly hoping
to get them both completed so I could start building the Bodies
today.
With
the First Frame squared and tacked in place I was just
starting to weld when the Contact Tip burned up. Most of the
time that is caused by a hesitation from the Wire Feed and
then the Wire welds itself to the Tip. After removing
the burnt Tip I looked in our Supply Box only to find
Tips not meant for that MIG Welding Machine but there
were plenty that wouldn’t work.
After
informing the Supervisor I just kept working away at setting
up the Second Frame then collecting the other supplies that
would be needed. With one of the Large Breaks being down I
busied myself scavenging most of the pieces to structurally build the
Mechanics of the Frames. I also gave a list to the
Supervisor of components that will be needed to set up the
Hydraulics.
I
mentioned weeks ago how Hot my
area was being so close to the Laser Cutters compared to the
rest of the shop. Walking outside after the end of my shift felt like
going into the Air Conditioning. When I got Home
the first thing I did was to check The
Weather Network to find that the Humidex
was at 104 F (40
C) which would have made my Area Thirty Degrees
warmer.
Kathy
had a Doctor’s Appointment with a Nose Specialist.
Since our return from the Southwest
this past Spring she has had continual Sinus Infections. Our
Family Doctor recognized that as unusual and referred Kathy to
see this Specialist. He ran a number of test as well as a
visual look and determined the only way to correct the situation is
through Surgery. We are not sure of the date just yet but
should know tomorrow.
Having
been at the Specialist for nearly Two Hours Kathy
stopped at McDonald’s where
she had a Salad for her lunch. She then stopped at Michael’s
where she picked up a couple bottles of RIT Dye so we can
attempt to make my Pink Coveralls Blue again.
Kathy
then had to drive all the way to the Pharma
Choice in Amherstburg
to get a few prescriptions filled. She had barely gotten Home
before I did. Kathy can’t take the Heat like I do so we had
to turn on the Air Conditioner to cool things down. We’ll be
shutting it off before going to bed.
For
supper we had grilled Hamburgers
that really hit the spot. With more appointments tomorrow Kathy will
pick me up after work so I’ll be with her.
Thank
you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be
Safe and Enjoy!
It’s
about time.

Good luck with the nose surgery, Kathy. I'm sure you will be able to breathe much better!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope the date isn't too far off for Kathy's surgery, get 'er done! :)
ReplyDeleteWith you working it is like me when Bill is away. A few things need to be done on our own, which is a good thing too.
If the humidex was 104 here, you bet I'd have the a/c going long before you got home! LOL...I'm thinking the surgery will cure her problem, hopefully won't take too long to schedule!
ReplyDeleteI am like Kathy. I just can't take the heat. But I can't put the A/C down lower than 79. With Leonard's blood thinners he is always cold. 97 outside and he's sitting inside with his warm robe on plus sometimes a throw over him. I could not take the heat that you work in Rick.
