One Delivery Made, Lights Are Working and Temperatures Dropping.

Our Location today is North Ranch, Congress, Arizona, U.S.A.

Once again we were able to sleep with the windows open last night. Even with all the Fresh Air that we were getting I managed to spend over an hour tossing and looking at the ceiling. When I lose sleep like that it seems a habit that I’ll be sleeping later in the morning and that’s what I did.

We were both up by 8:00 this morning and discussed what we had to do today while eating breakfast.  I wanted to install the new Pigtails that we had purchased at the NAPA Auto Parts Store the other day as well as replacing the Marker Lights on the Truck. Kathy wanted to do more food preparation.

Having our Coffee/Tea while doing our morning reading on the Computers seems to be a practical thing for us. We can just stay relaxed and enjoy an easy start to our day.
Badly B.eaten Box
While I was making the bed upstairs the first of our packages that we ordered on the 18th arrived by UPS. It’s a good thing they place smaller sized articles in larger boxes because this box looked like it had been used as a Bat in a Baseball Game.
Luckily The Antenna is intact
Since we’d had a lite breakfast Kathy thought it wise that we have an early lunch. Yesterday while she was cooking things that looked like they were about to go bad she had cleaned and stewed some apples. For our lunch she reheated the Apples made some Crepes to serve them on. They were absolutely Delicious
Crepes with Stewed Apples.
I was outside before 12:00 replacing the Pigtails on the Signal/Driving Lamps on the Trailer. Just like the Pigtails I’d purchased in Windsor the Colour Coding on the wires was not the same as that on the Lamps themselves. Combine that with the fact that the Automotive Industry does not use the same Colour Coding as the RV Industry it can get confusing.
We met Judy and Hank at the Thanksgiving Celebration.
Judy and Hank who we met at the Thanksgiving Day Celebration had been out for a walk and stopped over for a short visit. They talked of where they are going after they leave North Ranch on Friday. They’ll be storing their Coach and then driving their Towed to Savana, Georgia to spend Christmas with their Daughter. They wished us luck and maybe our paths will cross again in Quartzsite.

Marker/Signal Lamps properly working.
Kathy stayed outside after they left and planned on doing some reading. Once the lights were finally reconnected the moment of truth came when the Trailer was connected to the Truck. The Driving Lights were now working perfectly but the Signal Lights that had worked before would not. Kathy came over to Cheer me on knowing I’d solve this frustrating issue. I traced the problem to my Relay Board that I installed in the Trailer where 3 of my Ground Connections had been severed. Once New Ground Wires were made the Lights worked the way they did when they were first installed.

What is left of the old Marker Light.
New Marker Light installed.
It was only after 2:00 by that point but the temperature was getting a bit on the cool side and with the North Winds it felt cold enough that Kathy had to go back inside.

As mentioned in previous posts the Marker Lights on the Wheel Tubs had just fallen apart from Road Vibration and exposure to UV Rays that break down plastics. I tried installing the New Retainer Clips to the New Lamps before putting them in the Tubs and they wouldn’t snap into place. I had to bend the tips in order for them to work. In the end all the lights on the Truck and Trailer are now working the way they should.

For supper Kathy had me grill a couple of Hamburger Patties on the Weber while she made a wonderful Salad and prepped the Buns. Everything tasted great and Kathy even made some Jell-O for dessert.

With more tips of places to see in the area it looks like tomorrow will be another day for Exploring and since the temperature is getting low tonight we’ll be sleeping with the windows closed. 2. I hate getting packages that are beat up. You never know if what's inside is going to work. Do they really need to be that rough with boxes?

  3. Bet your happy that job is done and all is right. The apple dessert looks very good and the other foods also
