Let Down, Unexpected Move and Forgotten Delay.

Though last night’s sleep wasn’t as deep as the Two Nights before, but it was enough to see me through the day. Like I mentioned in Yesterday’s Blog, this was going to be a busy day.

After breakfast I took the time to fill out the required Questionnaire for today’s visit and photograph the “Q-Code” just on time for us to head out the door.

Due to all the Construction Zones throughout the City, we only walked in the door of the Canadian Blood Services with minutes to spare. I was immediately brought in to the Interview Room, while Kathy sat down to read her book that she finally remembered to bring after all these times. Sue remembered that I had injured myself last month, so in reference to the question of my having seen a Doctor in the last Six Months, I answered honestly, saying he was going to send me for X-Rays. The next thing I know the Shift Nurse is brought in to review my Questionnaire. The Injury took place Six Weeks ago tomorrow, but as soon as I mentioned X-Ray, they said I could not make a Donation in case I needed an immediate Surgery. They let me Donate last month, why not today?

Yesterday, Lisa our Family Doctor’s Receptionist, noticed my Health Card had expired, so we were going to take care of that. First we stopped at Guardian Storage to collect our Mail. There were Three Notices that were long overdue delivery wise, a Notice that my Health Card then a Notice that my Driver’s License, were expired and a Notice that we needed to renew the License Tag for the Truck. We should have had all this months ago.

We immediately drove to the Service Ontario building only to find it Empty, with no sign of their new location.

We stopped at Wendy’s to have lunch. Thank goodness for Coupons. As we finished eating, I used their WiFi to find out where the Service Ontario Office had moved to. When I saw the address and recognizing it, I was in shock.

Minutes later we were walking in to Walmart and right near the front of the building was the new Service Ontario Office. There had to be Fifty People waiting to take care of their own Issues. After getting our Ticket, it would take nearly Two Hours before we would walk out with all our Issues taken care of. When I mentioned the Notices had only just been delivered, we were told others had experienced the same thing.

We stopped at Tim Horton’s for a Coffee and to waste some time before heading to Fantastic Sam’s for our Haircuts.

Sitting in the Car was getting uncomfortably Hot, so we headed inside. That’s when we were reminded our appointment was not until 3:30. That was when we remembered making this back in March. We could have used that Half Hour, along with the Wasted Time and gone to the Clinic for my shoulder. We’ll take care of that tomorrow. We walked out feeling cooler with less hair.

Not wanting to eat out again, we headed for home. It wasn’t until the 6 o’clock Local News started, that we started feeling a bit hungry. We shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Veggie Pizza for our late supper.

We later watched Chicago Med”, “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago P.D.for some entertainment.
