Big Improvement and Stocking Up.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Though I was connected to my CPAP Machines for over Eight Hours last night, much of the time was spent tossing and turning in Bed. When I got up to start my day it was only minutes later that Kathy came out to join me. We both felt like we had hardly slept and the feeling of tiredness would plaque us both throughout the day.

We settled for Cereal for breakfast to start our day, taking our Coffees to our Computers. The Weather Network showed a beautiful Sunny day with a high of 70 F (21 C). We wanted to take advantage of that forecast to run errands. Since one of those errands included grocery shopping, I set about using up the remaining Vegetables that were still in the Fridge. We didn’t eat our Veggie Omelettes for lunch until 12:45.

After relaxing for a few minutes, we cleaned up the Dishes and kitchen, so we’d have clear counters when we would bring in our purchases.

It was nearly 3:00 when we headed out the rear entrance to the building. Even with the forecasted warmth we had worn our Levi Jackets and were glad we did. In the shadow of the buildings it felt quite cool, but the moment we stepped into the Sun soaked parking lot we felt like we were melting.

Our first destination was Hearing Life in Tecumseh to get Kathy’s New Hearing Aides. Her old ones were turned off, even though they had just been serviced a week ago. If something happens to her new ones, they will be her backups. There was also a new piece of equipment that came with these. When Kathy exerts herself, she sweats even in her ears and that messes up her Hearing Aides. This unit comes with a special Drying Chamber that will quickly dry them out to prolong their lives, without causing any damage. Kathy noticed these Aides don’t cause an Echo to what she was hearing.

It was past 4:00 when we left and we still had our grocery shopping to do. We first stopped at Wendy’s to have supper first. Again, we were able to use a Coupon to keep our costs down, though I did add Cheese to my Chili. Kathy noticed that besides there being less Echo, the different conversations going on around us were not blending into a big ball of noise.

Our next stop was Dollarama, to stock up on our Morning Juice that they often run out of stock and is nearly double in price at the grocery store. We also got some Brisk Iced Tea and Lemon Aide for the days that water just won’t quench our thirsts and a few bottles of Carbonated Juice (Fake Wine) for those special occasions.

When we finally got to the Zehr’s grocery store, we spent most of our time in the Produce and Dairy Departments. We did however splurge by getting a container of Chapman’s Dutch Chocolate Frozen Yogurt before heading out the door.

It was past 6:00 when we parked by the rear entrance to our building. We used our Two Wheel Folding Shopping Cart to haul most of our purchases up to our Apartment. Though I was feeling worn out, Kathy was showing it, so I insisted she stay upstairs. I first replaced the Cart in the back of the Car, before driving around and parking it in the lot. I hauled the last Two Bags by hand. Even though they were much heavier than what the Physiotherapist suggested I lift, I made it. It was past 7:15 before everything was put away.

We later watched a few Half Hour episodes of “Forensic Files” this evening.

Not sure what we’ll be doing tomorrow, but we’ll let you know when we figure it out.

Krackers

Every single morning, I get hit by the same bike.

It’s a vicious cycle!
