Drizzling Errands.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

I spent almost exactly half my night in Bed, and the other half in my Recliner which surprised me, because I had forgot to set the Alarm before going to sleep but woke up right when we needed. That gave us just enough time to have a Yogurt Cup and a few Cookies for breakfast, before heading out the door.

The Drizzle would finally stop after supper, making it a miserable travel day.

Today’s appointment was an unexpected surprise when Tina from Hearing Life called to say the Audiologist could see Kathy today instead of next week. We arrived a little ahead of time, so we had to wait for the previous appointment to be finished.

Kathy’s hearing has not changed in the last year, so it will be an easy transition when she gets her New Hearing Aides. They will be more moisture resistant than the last pair, that will be powered down so she can use them as spares if the new units need to be serviced. The drawback will be that if the Batteries die, they will have to be sent out for replacement. We can pick them up next week.

We were on the road by 11:30 with our next destination being Guardian Storage to collect our Mail. Taking the same route, we did the last time, we barely slowed down for the Construction Squeeze on the Expressway. The Five Hundred Feet that took Twenty Minutes to travel on the Parkway due to the non-operating Traffic Light, only took Twenty Seconds to travel at less then the posted Speed Limit today.

There was only Junk Mail but if the Canadian Postal Workers go “On Strike” later this week, we won’t worry about anything important.

The breakfast Cookies were worn down, so we stopped at Burger King to take advantage of Whopper Wednesday for lunch. Kathy could not believe how busy they were as it seemed there was a continual line out the door and the Drive-Thru. We were just lucky with our timing.

It seemed the Drizzle was getting more intense, so we headed back to the Apartment. After taking the Recycle down to the Bins we settled in on our Computers, to catch up on our E-reading.

Our daughter Karen called to see how we were doing as she battled the traffic heading home from work. Her car is equipped with a Hands-Free System so she can concentrate on her driving.

We had Hotdog Wraps for supper, after watching the 6 o’clock Local News. We then watched the Season Finales of “Chicago Med”, “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago P.D.” to finish our evening.

We have more days of wet weather in the forecast, but we will need to go get groceries soon.

Words of Inspiration

A man's face as a rule says more, and more interesting things, than his mouth, for it is a compendium of everything his mouth will ever say, in that it is the monogram of all this man's thoughts and aspirations.

Arthur Schopenhauer, German Philosopher
