Three Hours and Fine Print.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

The harder I try, the less it seems to be working. Even with the Nighttime Mickey used to help me sleep, Kathy can attest that it’s not working, because when I don’t sleep, neither does she.

Luckily, I was able to wake up and start making Toast for breakfast before we had to leave. I did steal a few minutes to dispel what the Weather Guessers had previously forecasted. It was not going to be an All Day Rain, but we needed to get home early.

We managed to be early for our visit with the Family Doctor. Whenever anyone, Specialists, sends us for Tests we can get the results from George and by tying them all together, he tells us how serious they are. On the other hand, if he feels we need added attention, he’ll be the one to recommend that we see those people. Lots of time looking back at your Family Medical History, plays a big part in some of those additional appointments. More on that in future Blogs.

We swung by Dyna-Care labs before noon because, if you recall Kathy’s Rheumatologist wanted a Monthly Blood Test while she’s on these medications. Our Family Doctor heard that my Two of my Specailist had asked for me to be checked also, so he added in his own. Kathy was signed in for One Blood Test, while I was booked in for Three. The bad thing about this lab is you can’t make Appointments.

When we were told how long it would be we headed over to Burger King, (the closest Fast Food nearby), to have lunch. Not having any Coupons, we looked at the sales posted on the windows. They were far cheaper than anything else, so that’s what we got. We didn’t see the Fine Print at the bottom of the promo. We now both have our lunch for tomorrow, because the deals included Two Sandwiches.

Back at Dyna-Care we entertained ourselves by watching the Display Screen that showed what order patients would be called, and how many Minutes before that happened. It didn’t help that they were having Lighting Issues and had to have an Electrical Contractor come in while they took care of business. (This is a newer building.????) We even made friends with Dennis and Liam all waiting for the same thing. It got to the point, every time someone was leaving they got a small applause. It had taken us Three Hours before we left, with our Tests completed.

We stopped at Guardian Storage to collect our Mail before heading for groceries. Then we thought, “Never shop on an empty stomach”, so we went to Pita Pit for their $7.00 Tuesday Special. Though they were Healthy and Filling, from all the sitting on hard chairs we had just done, my Hip/Leg Pain was screaming at me as we ate.

As we were leaving the Rain started coming down. I didn’t feel like hauling groceries in the Rain, so we headed home and I dropped Kathy at the front entrance. Minutes later I was parked and the Rain stopped. I was dry walking in, and we have lunch for tomorrow. So much for the wet forecast.

  1. You seem to find a lot of bargain meals around town. I do try to be safe riding in my wheelchair.
