Taking Care Of Business But Missed Appointment.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

It felt so good to actually have a restful night, which is something neither of us have seen in some time. To make things better yet, there wasn’t a Cloud in sight, when we opened the Blinds. Kathy immediately opened the Door only to close it just as quickly. It was only 48 F (9 C) at the time.

We enjoyed our Coffee at the Computers, but Kathy was having issues to get into our accounts. (That time of month.) Since our new cards had come out, we had been advised to change the Account Numbers accordingly, but it would not work. I even gave it a try, with no luck. That meant we’d have to go to the Credit Union in person to deal with this, but we went prepared, we brought Kathy’s Computer.

We stopped at Guardian Storage to collect our Mail first, only to get a Recall Notice for our Car. After a quick phone call, it will be fixed next week.

We made our way to the Credit Union, where the Teller managed to do our transactions without breaking a sweat, but we still could not get to the account on Kathy’s Computer. She repeatedly did the same thing we had been told to do, only to have to unlock the account Twice. Finally she went to a different page, checked a little box, then everything worked perfectly. The line of people that had developed while she did that, did not appear too happy with us.

With more to do, we stopped at Arby’s to have lunch. Not having any Coupons, we chose their posted specials to save some cash.

Next we had to go to the Bank to take care of another issue. While I was working last year to pay down a bill, it meant we now had to pay Canada Revenue a bit more than expected. We thought we’d have to make a Bank Draft, but instead they were able to electronically settle that at the push of a button. No Draft Fee, no Stamp. Electronics are so good when they work.

As we headed towards home we stopped at Shoppers Drug Mart. This happens every Six Weeks, but we saved a bit more today. The Vitamins we needed were all “On Sale”, so I got what was there. Even with this being Seniors Savings Day (Thursday), it cost enough that they gave me a Ten Dollar Gift Card to be used on future purchases.

Since I still needed the Multi-Vitamins, we had to go back to the next nearest outlet at the Tecumseh Mall, to get them. Kathy went for a walk in the Mall while I found what I needed, got my Discount and was able to use the Gift Card on the purchase.

When I met Kathy she mentioned her Shoes were bothering her feet, so she checked a couple of stores while I waited. I managed to get some information on Phone Deals before she came back empty handed. I took her to the Shoe Company just outside the Mall and within minutes she found the perfect shoes.

We were both tired by then so headed for home. It was only moments after we sat down that Karen our daughter called, to wish me a Belated Birthday. It was at that moment I looked at the Clock and realized I had missed my Chiropractor’s Appointment. I left an apology message, because right now, I need all the help I can get.

We ended the day at 70 F (21 C) with very little breeze. We’ll see what we get tomorrow.
