After forcing myself to stay in bed until 7:00 this morning I felt quite refreshed once I was getting things ready for breakfast. It was a bit chilly at 55 F (13 C) inside since we had slept with all the Windows and Roof Vents open. Kathy joined me an Hour later feeling the chill while we enjoyed our Toast. It was actually strange to once again see some Golfers on the Greens wearing Long Pants and Jackets.
Drinking our Coffee/Tea at the Computers the forecast for today was far from sunny as a fact the day would be filled with on and off Showers. When the Rain started at 9:00 it felt like the temperature was actually dropping rather then increasing as indicated on The Weather Network.

For lunch it was Italian Wedding Soup along with Crackers with Cheese. Since we’ve been cutting back that was more then enough mainly because of our low activity levels.
Seeing the need for additional First-Aid Supplies we compiled a small list before heading out the door with our Raincoats in hand. Thinking that all Chain Drug Stores would carry the same supplies we were quite surprised when we went to the Essex Shoppers Drug Mart to find they did not carry the Bandages that would fit Kathy’s Hand. When the Pharmacist recommended we go back to Amherstburg where we got them we knew that not all the stores were equal.

When we went outside we noticed the No-Frills was busy so we went to check it out. Inside the Essex location the place was packed. It seemed that everyone was stocking up for their kids going back to school on Tuesday. When we went to the Amherstburg location the other day they were out of one of the things we looked for. We found what we wanted in Essex and even thought they had all their Cashiers open it still took us Twenty Minutes to Checkout.

The Rain got quite heavy going from Essex to Amherstburg. It took a little searching but we found exactly the Bandages that we needed for Kathy’s hand at the Amherstburg location.
It was past 5:00 as we were about to leave and decided to see what changes had taken place to their Downtown Business Section. Some of the shops we recalled were replaced by other businesses. Heading out of town we stopped at Mealtime Express a small Family Restaurant that makes simple easy to eat foods. Since we’ve been cutting back on our food intakes, we both had a Ruben Sandwich along with a Diet Soda.

Back Home it felt chilly enough we closed the Roof Vents and most of the Windows. I settled in on my Computer to make the Data Entries on our Expense Spreadsheet since Kathy was having issues with the program and her Hand restricts her ability to do so. I had been at it over an Hour when a message flashed on the screen saying the Program had Crashed and was attempting to recover the lost Data. I had to re-enter everything a second time.

The Rain should end around noon tomorrow which will be perfect for our afternoon errands. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. I hate it when my computer says that!! That's weird ... I would have thought the drug stores would all carry the same stuff too. I hope Kathy's hand is improving quickly.

  2. Rick you are a big man and you are now working fulltime so I worry about your lower food intake in particular with your current weight loss.

Glad you were able to find the proper bandages for Kathy's hand.
