What the (@#$%^)?, Picking Up A Delivery, Off To Parker, Hostiles and Really Close New Neighbours.

Our Location today is La Posa South L.T.V.A., Quartzsite, Arizona, U.S.A.

Last night while attempting to post our Blog I was having problems Uploading and ended up having to reboot not only our MiFi Hotspot but my Computer itself. It turned into a nail biter (an Expression of Speech) to post before midnight because my Computer decided to do an Update before giving me back control of my machine. Thankfully it was only a short Update and everything was done with time to spare.

Getting to bed late of course meant there would be some sleeping in done this morning. I had barely gotten downstairs when I heard Kathy already coming behind me. We made plans, then changed those plans when I checked a Tracking Number from Amazon to find that one of my packages had been delivered yesterday to Quiet Times here in Quartzsite.

The next thing I found was a Comment made to a post we published within the first month of Our Blog’s existence. I’ll monitor it closely because those are sometimes how Spammers infiltrate these posts. For the heck of it I checked the post in question. It was titled What the (@#$%^)? and it was dealing with issues that we were facing as Newbie Bloggers and the unsuccessful way we were dealing with the issues. It’s strange to think that now over Six Years later we are still dealing with similar issues.

After getting all our normal morning reading and chores finished while Kathy got ready I started packing up the trash. She had to check something else out on the Computer so I made Soup for lunch along with a Yogurt Cup for dessert.

Following a quick stop at the Trash Bins we headed to Quartzsite making our first stop at the Chevron gas station. Our change of plans had us heading to Parker today rather then Yuma where Diesel is selling for $2.619 a Gallon which was 23 cents a Gallon cheaper then I was paying. Getting a late start in our day also made going to Parker more practical. 

With the Naked Eye the Sky was not this blue.

Traveling up Mainstreet we stopped at Quiet Times where Kathy stayed in the Truck while I retrieved my package. When I mentioned what the package was and when it was ordered the woman at Quiet Times said I wouldn’t need it now until next year.

We were soon heading north on Arizona 95 towards Parker. Looking off in the distance it appeared there was smoke hanging in the air but when we tried photographing it the skies looked a brighter Blue then what we were seeing with the naked eye.

Our plan for today was to see a movie so we drove directly to the Blue Water Movie Cinema-Plex. Kathy had looked On-line what was playing but the Placards outside the building listed other films and the start time was an Hour later. 

The water was that colour.

After figuring what we would see we walked next door to the Casino for comfort reasons. We also got to see there is some major Remodeling going on. Kathy even considered playing a few slots like the last time where it paid for the Movie we saw but the place was packed and we are not into playing the Dollar Machines. Remember we play sensibly not recklessly.

Back at the Cinema-Plex we shared a Bucket of Popcorn and a Large Fountain Drink, something we haven’t done in a long while. The reason we did so was there was still an Hour to wait before the show started and it would be after 6:00 before we had supper.

The movie we saw today was called Hostiles. It is rated PG because of the extreme violent nature of the ongoing dispute between Native Americans and the Settlers of the Southwest. It shows how the Hostilities were not only committed by the Natives but by the Soldiers who believed all Tribes were the same. Kathy and I both gave it Two Thumbs Up and hope it gets Nominated for the Academy Awards.

We headed to McDonalds where we had a lite supper. We’ve learned to ask for Seniors Discounts and were surprised that this McDonalds does not offer any.

It was after 7:00 before we drove across to Walmart where we picked up a few supplies and to slowly fill our pantry of things that are only available at Walmart stores in the US.

The trip Home to La Posa South LTVA was uneventful and we had no problem making our way back to our Trailer. There was one slightly disturbing thing when we arrived however. We now have a C-Class RV that is parked within a Hundred Feet from our Trailer. As many others have experienced with all the open space available and they park so close. Really!
