Even though I was awake by 7:30 the cool room air on my face told me it was okay to stay in our warm bed just a little while longer. There’s always got to be a Party-Pooper and at 7:50 my back said no more laying around, time to get moving. Why can’t it just relax and be lazy for once.

By the time I had all the Window Shades up and things ready for breakfast Kathy was coming downstairs by 8:05. She felt the temperature difference as soon as she got out of bed and immediately pulled the Throw Blanket out of the Clothing Cupboard to cover her legs up with.

It didn’t take long to eat breakfast and then take our Coffee/Tea over to the Computers. Today was the day we were happy to see arrive. Today was the first day of our Verizon cycle so we were running at 4G speeds. It still bothers me that we are on an Unlimited Plan but as soon as we hit 15 Gig of usage they slow you down to 3G speeds. There should be a law against that. With the faster speed we both had all our reading and communications done before 10:00 so that gave us time to do a few other things like gathering the trash.

We ended up having an early lunch at 11:30. The warm Vegetable Beef Soup, with a Cheese Stick, Mandarin Oranges and Oreo Cookies all helped feed our cravings but the Hot Cup of Tea helped to get rid of the inner chill.

Back in 2009 Kathy was helping our grandsons build a Sandcastle on the Beech and she got her feet wet while getting a pail of water. Shortly after that she started having a Fungal Buildup under her one Toe Nail. She was then diagnosed with Diabetes and to treat the Fungal Buildup she had to have the Toe Nail removed. They said it would never grow back. Boy were they wrong.

With the regrowth of the Nail there were other complications that required Home Visits from a Certified Pediatrist Nurse. Lucky for us under our Medical Benefits I had from work that is all covered. The problem is that when we travel there’s no place she can go for treatment so I volunteered to do it. We explained this problem to Mary who came to our Apartment at the time. Explaining that I was only subbing for her while we traveled she allowed me to watch closely and ask all kinds of questions.
Kathy enjoying tonight's Campfire..
This winter Kathy had me work on her feet back in December when we first arrived here in Quartzsite but not since. She has tried some simple trimming on her own but she has been quietly suffering and having difficulty walking. Since we purchased all the necessary tools it took over an Hour and a Half to get Kathy’s feet fixed up so she no longer has any discomfort walking.

In order to let my back straighten up after putting away all the tools and Kathy swept up we relaxed at the Computers for a short while. There was a cool breeze coming from the north so we were in no hurry to go outside.

It may not sound like it but having your feet worked on can be very traumatic and you won’t feel like cooking. Around 3:00 Kathy suggested going to McDonalds for supper so off we went.

Traffic was very lite in Quartzsite today so we were there within minutes. Kathy enjoyed her Chicken Nuggets while I had a Chicken Sandwich. This also gave us a chance to people watch. The funniest one was watching a vertically challenged person pull up in this big pickup, wearing a Black Cowboy Hat that was down over his ears, stand outside smoking and choking on it, then digging in the trash for a napkin so he could check all his oil levels. Normally I do that at Home or have it done at a Service Center.
In this Sunset shot the Speck in the middle is the Moon.
We were back in La Posa South LTVA by 4:15 but slowly drove to the Trash Bins so we could contribute to the cause. Back at the Trailer we talked about having a Campfire so the next thing I did was to check The Weather Network to see what was happening with the Wind. Surprisingly the Breeze was slowly disappearing for the evening but will be back with a vengeance for the next couple of days. It didn’t take long before I started setting up our Camping Chairs by the Firepit and placing the Firewood inside.
Our Solar lit Antenna Mast.
I like the Sunset Reflection in the window..
Kathy joined me outside by 5:30 where we enjoyed watching the changing Sunset. Fifteen Minutes passed before we lit the Fire and started to relax. Our neighbours didn’t join us so we spent the evening enjoying one another’s company.
Sunset with a Crescent Moon.
It was past 8:30 when we went in to have a nice Cup of Hot Chocolate to get the chill out of our bodies.

With the forecasted higher Winds for the next couple of days we’ll see what we can accomplish. Thanks for following along, feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
