Still Packing And Taking Care Of Business.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

By the time we posted the blog last night Kathy had already gotten her shower and gone to bed. All day she had felt run down but she also kept pushing herself. I waited until our normal time before hitting the sack otherwise I knew that I’d be awake most of the night. When 7:00 rolled around this morning I was up doing my morning chores before starting my morning reading. It was nearly 8:30 before Kathy got up and even then she was still dragging. At breakfast we talked about what we’d done the last few days and figured she had probably picked up a bug from someone at the Arena. We also discussed a few other things that we could bring to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit leaving that much less to contend with in the apartment.

As soon as our morning reading at the computers was finished I started wrapping up the bedroom television. We haven’t been using it since we sold our bedroom furniture so it was just collecting dust. Yes we plan on keeping it because if something happens to the large television in our trailer this one is an identical unit. Luckily we had collected a few display boxes with the intention of wrapping some of our wall hangings but used other boxes instead. After adding bubble wrap it was an easy fix to modify one box to securely protect the set.

Once lunch was over I collected the mail downstairs only to find I had to recall a few more places we’d already given our change of address to. I know I called them personally and it was noted on the list I used but they said they hadn’t been notified. We are trying to make certain all our mail is redirected and not having it continue coming to this address like some of the former tenants of this apartment. Here is hoping I don’t have to call them a third time.

By the time I finished making the calls Kathy had packed away more clothes for us to take away. With the spring like temperatures we got today 61 F (16 C) and the forecast of more to come we felt safe to pack away most of our winter clothing.

Driving through the Guardian Storage yard was almost like driving through a swamp because of all the melted snow we had recently accumulated. It didn’t take long to get everything put away inside our storage unit before we stopped to get our mail at the office. One letter was our’s and the other belonged to a past tenant.

We had to stop at the Credit Union to do some banking. Since we were parked in the same lot we walked next door to Taco Bell where we had supper. When we finished there we wanted to do some walking so we drove across the street to Walmart where after an hour of walking we headed for home.

We had time to watch the 6 o’clock News before driving over to our daughter Karen and son-in-law Greg’s for a visit. They’ll be leaving for Florida on Friday taking Tyler for the March Break. They had made reservations last year before we told them that we weren’t going south this winter. Their friend Joe who is a fireman also stopped in so we all got to visit before we said our good-byes. We wished them safe travels and we’ll see them when they come back on the 20th.

Tomorrow there is more to do all in preparation of our Fulltiming Adventure. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

Just talking of Florida
had me thinking of
the Crystal River area.

  1. Envision my amazement when I identifies with a real individual. Inside of ten minutes of that contact courses of action were made to cross out our outing. There was a stipulation that give back the travel bundle so we'll get a full discount. They will recover their booklet yet I verified they knew they were getting duplicates back and not the firsts of our agreement. Yes arrangement on keeping it in light of the fact that if something happens to the extensive TV in trailer this one is an indistinguishable unit. Fortunately had gathered a couple show boxes with the expectation of wrapping some of our inside decorations yet utilized different boxes. My name is Nagaraj I'm a car driver now I'm working cabs in kochi In the wake of including air pocket wrap it was a simple fix to adjust one box to safely ensure the set.

  2. I remember the urge to fill the empty spaces in the storage unit! When we were done full timing, a lot of that went right to the dumpster anyways:)
