Overcast Day but Making Progress.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

When we went to bed last night the sound of distant thunder was moving even closer. At one point we could have sworn that it had struck just the other side of the parking lot. With weather like that I slept soundly while Kathy kept one eye open in fear until there were no longer sounds of the storm outside. The strange thing is we both have childhood occurrences to thank for the way we react when there is a Thunderstorm nearby. It was not uncommon for me to help my grandfather on his farm herd in the cattle during thunderstorms wearing knee boots and a three-quarter length raincoat. Later on in life I’d learn of the danger associated with these storms. Kathy’s fear comes from being in an automobile as a child that was struck by lightning. No one was injured but the engine caught on fire.
We had a quiet day mostly in part that the sun was well concealed behind a wall of clouds and we were waiting for the young woman to come pick up the Bathroom Shelving Unit that we sold on Kijiji. We spent most of the day on the computers doing more research. In the afternoon Kathy tended to her online banking and budget spreadsheet entrees. I managed to get some of our pill doucettes filled as well as counting each of the medications we have in stock. I created a spreadsheet that helps to keep track of that on my old laptop but when I transferred the files to the new laptop I had an issue with OneDrive. The issue caused me to delete those files not just from the OneDrive but from my Documents in the same instance. I am slowly rebuilding the spreadsheets that I lost.
After the shelf had been picked up Kathy needed to get out of the apartment. With the lack of sunshine, she was starting to get a touch of Cabin Fever. It was also late enough that we went to Dairy Queen where we each had a chicken wrap combo for our supper. We didn’t rush because we just wanted to be out and about.
Since we hadn’t checked our mail since early last week we drove over to Guardian Storage only to find a single piece of junk mail addressed to us waiting to be picked up. From there we drove over to Walmart with plans to only walk around. We spent nearly an hour getting our exercise in but did end up bringing home a few food stocks that we’d forgotten to get on Saturday.
With the monthly Fire Alarm Testing tomorrow afternoon and another new Tenant Viewing we’ll be making ourselves scarce and maybe we might even visit the trailer to see what we can do in preparation for our Fulltiming Adventure. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Have you ever imagined a world with no hypothetical situations?

  1. We know others that had experiences in their past that lead them to not like thunderstorms. I didn't have anything happen to me and I think thunderstorms are scary!

  2. Its a good time to take a nap when you can hear the rain pitter patter on the roof of the rv.
