A Big Step Towards Fulltiming.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Why is it when you have no real reason for getting up early you just can’t sleep any longer? After laying in bed wide awake for nearly an hour I got up to start my day at 7:00 this morning. I had already gotten things prepared in the kitchen for breakfast and finished half my morning reading on the computer by the time Kathy was up and about. When she saw the fresh white dusting on the cars in the parking lot she said the same words I had (#). Back at the computers after breakfast we had time to pass before I could start making phone calls. Unfortunately the most important one was not answering our call and the contractors were still using their Hammer Drill downstairs. Only one thing left to do!

We were out the door shortly before 10:00 and driving out to Wildwood Golf and RV Park in McGregor. We had been told last fall that they would be opening the office on the first of March but when we arrived the office was locked. Luckily tenants of the park checking their trailer suggested talking to Joe at the maintenance building. By the time we got there Joe was heading to the office so back we went. Valarie had a morning dentist appointment but had just texted Joe saying she was ten minutes out. When she arrived it didn’t take long for us to get the paperwork completed and we now know where we’ll spend some of our time this coming year after becoming Fulltimers. We are now members of the Wildwood Golf and RV Park (neither of us golf) and will be residing on site ten on third street. The beauty of staying at this park is the cost is less than half of our present rent, it’s still close to our children and family doctors and if we decide to take off with the trailer our spot will be there waiting for us when we get back. We walked around our site for a bit figuring how we’d lay it out. Finally we had to get back in the truck just to warm up from the bone chilling wind.
This is the site that we'll start our Fulltiming Adventure with.
Long enough for our trailer and to park two vehicles.
It was past 12:00 noon by the time we were on our way back to town and we still had a lot of errands to run so we stopped in at Tim Horton’s for lunch. This was a celebratory lunch so we used a coupon to have each a tasty Pulled Pork Sandwich and coffees to help us warm up.

Our next stop was Staples to pick up Kathy’s laptop we’d dropped off yesterday. The main problem is when Windows 10 starts to update it causes other problems. (In other words they couldn’t find anything wrong and had to come up with a lame excuse).

We then drove over to the trailer at Guardian Storage so I could measure window sizes so that Kathy can start making the new room darkening curtains before we leave the apartment. Next we headed to the Credit Union to do some banking before going over to Dollar Tree to get a few things. Our last stop was Princess Auto where we searched unsuccessfully for special magnifiers.

It felt good to finally get home but that didn’t mean our day was done. We had to make a few more phone calls and then we had to hunt online for something we want for our site. Would you believe it’s only available online in Canada and is cheaper than if we’d built it ourselves.

Looking out the balcony door as we ate supper we watched as the parking lot once again started to turn white. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
