Errands With Positive Effects.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

As soon as we opened the curtains this morning we knew that the temperature had dropped as forecasted because the sun didn’t seem to be able to break through the heavy cloud covering that we were experiencing. With a scheduled water shut-off slated for 9:00 until 3:00 today as soon as we’d finished our morning reading and chores in the apartment we were off to run some errands.
Hank Williams Jr.
Our first stop was Express Auto Service on Provincial road to get service done on the car. Unfortunately by the time we got there he was overbooked to the end of the day. That’s when we found out they had just opened a second location and if we’d drive there he’d call ahead for us. Within ten minutes we were at their second location where as promised they were waiting for us. I’d recently noticed some shifting hesitation on the transmission we’d replaced only three years ago. So today we wanted an oil and filter change as well as a transmission flush. As we waited for the car we notice we could watch different vehicles being worked on and different areas of the building through a closed circuit video feed. Kathy had wanted to find a car wash afterwards but when we saw cars being hand washed in the shop we added that to our list of things for them to do. We left there with a shiny looking car that ran better than before and had that new car smell inside all at a very reasonable price.
Kenny Rogers.
Since it was nearly noon and we had more errands to run we stopped at McDonalds to have their Specialty Chicken Wraps and a free coffee for lunch. This time we got caught right in the middle of lunch hour so there was some waiting for our order and limited places to eat.

Our last stop was back at the Staples outlet where Kathy had purchased her new laptop. She had a problem with it last Friday which was only six days after we got it home. Kathy had written down the fault that had occurred so the tech new exactly what to look for. It was the Windows file that had not updated since I loaded it last Sunday. I was concerned of the effect it had on the screen so they kept it to run a thorough scan on it overnight. While there we did some store walking and made a few purchases of office supplies that we were actually out of.
Patsy Cline.
Back at the apartment while Kathy started doing her book-keeping off the memory stick we copied her program and I went to check for our mail. In the process I ran into Dan the building manager who informed me the possible tenants didn’t show to see the apartment yesterday which meant we could have stayed home. He also informed me that the other interested party needed it by the middle of March so that ruled him out. This means that we can expect more of these showings to take place.
Elvis.
Tomorrow we have more errands to run but the first is the big step towards our Fulltiming Adventure. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
