Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.
Last night it seemed that my mind wouldn’t shut down so I kept
waking thinking of projects I want to do. Boy I can’t wait to start Fulltiming because I won’t be worrying
about something that is parked miles away.
We were up by 8:00 this morning and at the computers by 8:30
after having breakfast. Even though we had things we wanted to accomplish we
had another scheduled showing of our apartment. As explained last week the only
difference between showing a home you are selling and renting an apartment is
that the tenant can be home if they so wish. The interested party showed up
early so that meant we’d have the afternoon to do what we wanted. Unfortunately
we may have to do this again tomorrow.
Shortly after lunch we needed to escape the confines of the
apartment because we were both starting to feel a bit of cabin fever. Since we
had a few errands to run and the first to a Lock Smith in order to get another key made for
our Climate Controlled Storage Unit.
Would you believe they would need the lock to make a blank before they can make
the key. It’s cheaper to just buy a new lock so that’s what we’ll do.
Our next stop was back to Walmart where we wanted to get some walking in
as well as a few possible purchases. Kathy does not like to leave things for
the last minute and since we will be celebrating two occasions with our family
at Thanksgiving this fall she was
looking for ideas.
When I was working in the Trades in a Casting plant for
thirty-six (36.5) years for a short period of time I taught a number of Safety
and Human Rights courses. So it is not often that Kathy and I go somewhere in
the area that people from that plant don’t recognize me on the outside and just
want to say hello and talk. Kathy kept her search going while I spoke to Dave
and his wife about the past and our future. They wished they could do the same
but would need someone to take care of their home. (They didn’t get the message.)
Afterwards Kathy and I headed to the grocery section where we
ran into Rick and his wife Carla. They have a fifth wheel trailer but they don’t
have a tow vehicle. By the time we got done talking with them they were ready
to get their home on the market and start traveling like us. (They got the message.) Before we left Walmart we ran into Carl who is now 82 years
young. He says his traveling days are over but he keeps busy and wished us the
best in our travels.
It didn’t take long to get our groceries put away once we got
back to the apartment. The weather guessers are showing a drop in the
temperatures heading our way. Kathy is still working between purging and
researching while I continue to make progress transferring files from my old PC.
It is all time consuming. Thanks for following along and feel free
to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.
Even looking down the road
is better than sitting still.
