More Progress And Donations Made.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Sometimes it is hard to understand why we seem to have certain habits or traits. Strangely without even thinking about it so do our bodies. Sometimes we wake early while other times we sleep late. Sometimes we sleep soundly while many times we toss and turn throughout the night and can barely function the next day. For the last couple of days I’ve been sleeping at night but I don’t feel rested and yet I’m awake early. Kathy and I were finishing breakfast by 8:30 this morning. We had been watching as a few of the other residents of the building begrudgingly scraped the frost off their car windows in an attempt to be at work on time. All the while we were thinking to ourselves how glad we were that wasn’t us.

As soon as we’d scanned over our morning reading on the computers we headed out the door heading for SX Video in the small town of Essex to bring Kathy’s laptop in for repair. Dillion tried a number of things none of which worked hoping for a quick revival. Due to this having been a long weekend there had already been a number of people in this morning with computer issues of their own. In the end we had a pleasant drive home with the promise we’d know the problem and cost in the next two days.

As soon as we got back to the apartment Kathy started making lunch while I loaded our utility cart with bins that half-filled the backseat of the truck to go for storage. Upstairs Kathy had lunch ready so we enjoyed a filling lunch. Next I hauled my old PC out to fill the last remaining space in the backseat of the truck. Back upstairs we were nearly ready to go when using the utility cart I brought our bookshelf out to the truck. Without the hitch in place it only took minutes to cover and fasten it upright in the bed.

Our next stop was at Guardian Storage where we off loaded the bookshelf and the few storage bins into our Climate Controlled Storage Unit. With the dampness in the air outside being inside the storage building was very comfortable. Lastly we drove across town to Computers for Kids where they were very happy to take my old PC and All-in-one printer as a donation.

For quite some time Kathy has been going through her clothes donating a lot that no longer looked or fit properly. When we got home it was my turn. With achy muscles trying clothes is not always a priority but I’ve started and even have over half dozen pairs of pants that will be donated. With each time we take things out of the apartment we are noticing a difference. While having supper and watching the 6 o’clock News we noticed there seems to be an echo developing in the apartment. With just over ten weeks to go before we are officially Fulltimers things are really moving along. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

Tonight's pictures were inspired
by our being home this winter
and us dreaming of
exploring this summer.

  2. I can relate. Everything we got rid of made me feel lighter. If only that was the case!
