Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.
Even with the smaller load of belongings that we hauled to
our Climate Controlled Storage Unit
yesterday combined with the load I placed in the truck after we got home there
was a noticeable emptiness in the apartment today. While having our breakfast
this morning we realized there is still plenty to be done but not enough to tie
us down for the two and a half months that we still have remaining before we
leave the apartment. Kathy wanted to finish cooking a couple more food dishes
that she didn’t get to yesterday and I wanted to continue the final document
conversions off my old PC.
As soon as we’d finished our morning coffee at the computers
we both went about our planned chores. The big difference between the two was that
we got a chance to sample Kathy’s achievements for lunch and supper. The only
way to note my accomplishment after hours at the computer was that I’d lowered
the number of files left to convert from nearly four hundred down to just over
a hundred and fifty some of which just do not want to transfer.
This evening we headed to Amherstburg for our weekly visit with our son Kevin
and daughter-in-law Melissa. When we started unloading the backseat of the
truck their eyes truly lit up as if it were Christmas all over again. We passed on a lot of
the smaller storage containers that we’ll no longer use but will work perfectly
for someone with a young family. Also if they can’t use what we bring to them
they pass it on to someone they know will benefit from it. We had our usual
enjoyable visit filled with discussion of things family related as well as
things that are happening at Melissa’s workplace.
It almost felt like we were playing hooky from the purging
and sorting today but we should be able to meet our deadline for beginning our Fulltiming Adventure with no problems. Thanks
for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

Krackers
Ask a silly question
Before
they invented drawing boards, what did they go back to?
Perhaps they went back to the cave wall...
ReplyDeleteBTW, we call our trailer "It's about time two". It's our second trailer, we waited way too long to get our first.
We think that y'all are well on your way to meeting your deadline.
ReplyDeleteNow you can just coast to the end then slide home.
ReplyDeleteIf you keep this up, you'll be finished with your downsizing and have a month or two to make travel plans.
