Day of Surprises.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

We were so tired when we went to bed last night that it surprised us when we didn’t wake until minutes after 8:00 this morning. Another surprise was the way we woke up to the sound of Hammer Drills pounding away again in the apartment directly below our bedroom. It was the same Bullheadedness by the contractor hired to do the job using the words “We’re almost done” to cover up the act of not giving us any advanced warning.
With the on and off noise throughout the morning we were again surprised when attempting to wash our dishes after lunch that no water would come out of the faucets. Normally we get prepared for those by filling our water containers and a pail. That was about the time we had a knock on the door from Dan our apartment manager. He’d finally been contacted by the contractor requesting we not use our toilette because they had to cut into the stack. I told him of the water being off but told him we had to go out. Unfortunately before leaving we forgot about not using the toilet. OOPS!

We had an appointment with our family lawyer for 3:00 this afternoon. She handled the purchase and sale of our home as well as past testaments. After all the legalities were done it was like a long overdue visit and when she heard about our Fulltiming plans became very interested and envious of us. When Kathy spoke of her past career she surprised us admitting to knowing Kathy’s employers because they were from the same ethnic background.

On our way back home we wanted to kill some time so we stopped at Fabric land where Kathy needed to purchase some trim so she can adjust some of her capris. While there we also looked into some curtain backing so we can make our bedroom curtains in the trailer more light-proof. The surprise was everything we bought was on Sale saving us over sixty percent off our purchase. Kathy is going to be busy doing a lot of sewing the first couple of months we are Fulltiming making the trailer more Homey.

Figuring the contractors would still be working I suggested going to Wendy’s for one of their salad dinners for supper since it has been quite a while. The surprise here was when the manager asked if we were seniors and we saved nearly twenty percent on our meals.

By the time we arrived at the apartment it looked like the contractors were finished as we watched them piling into a vehicle to go for supper. We were pleasantly surprised to find the water turned back on in the apartment but unfortunately halfway through the 6 o’clock News the Hammer Drill started again. Hopefully that was the last of that noise we’ll hear for this project. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
