Laptop Down, Hockey Problems, Valentine Dinner And Problems Resolved.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

As tired as I have been lately I’m having trouble staying asleep even after using the Sleepy Time Tea before going to bed. The weird thing is that I’m still getting up early in the morning but really starting to feel exhausted by the middle of the afternoon. This morning we were up before 8:00 and as we were having breakfast it was nice seeing the sun shining brightly in the sky. Even though there was only the slightest breeze the temperature was just above the zero mark so there weren’t too many people walking around outside.
Tyler (Black 97) at Face-off.
Kathy has been having an issue with her laptop lately where it just suddenly develops pixilated streaks on the screen. Since she normally leaves it turned on overnight but just lowers the lid someone suggested turning it off overnight and leave the lid up. When Kathy went to turn it on this morning you could hear the computer running but the screen was totally blank. Kathy is now having to use our backup laptop until we can get her computer fixed.
Tyler about to score his goal.
Even though we had an early start to the day we had less time to spend at the computers because we had to head to the New Belle River Arena to watch our grandson Tyler’s team play hockey again today. Unfortunately today’s game started an entire hour and a half earlier. It was nearly five minutes into the game when Tyler scored the first goal. Unfortunately the other team started playing dirty while the referees were watching and were not being penalized for it but if Tyler’s team pushed back they were immediately called on it. The other team won 4 to 1 but there is a complaint that’s been submitted to the league association against the two refs.

After the game Kathy and I went home to change and to retrieve a gift card that we received at Christmas. Being this was Valentine’s Day we took the day off from packing and decided to have a meal out. Since we had the taste for pasta we drove over to East Side Mario’s for a late lunch. We still had to wait ten minutes for a table but it would have been worse if we’d waited for supper. Everything was perfect! The service was excellent and we’d just finished our appetizers when our meals arrived. We walked out very satisfied after a romantic diner for a special occasion plus food containers containing our supper.

Kathy has been looking for a small sized container that she use to organize the water bottles in the water cart that I made for the trailer. Each time we cross the border the immigration officers open the door and everything spills out and they don’t pick anything up. The same happens on some of the rougher roads. When we set up for the night we move the cart in place and everything spills out. We went to Canadian Tire where we managed to fine a clear plastic container that should do the job. We made a couple more stops at Shoppers Drug Mart and Walmart where we managed to find other things that we are sure will help us to be better organized as Fulltimers.
Tyler's team lost today.
Back at the apartment we managed to get some time in on the computers before finishing our lunch for supper. We also watched the 6 o’clock News before heading over to our daughter Karen’s for a Sunday night visit. We had and enjoyable visit with Karen and Greg. Tomorrow the temperature is supposed to start getting back towards the norm for this time of year. How much we’ll get packed is unknown because we have to get Kathy’s laptop repaired. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. I would dare say the closer you get to the fulltiming date the less you will sleep. Sounds like you are going to need a new screen or new laptop. Enjoy the day.
