Showings, Shopping and Savings.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

We seem to be getting in the habit of waking up shortly after the sun rises lately even when like today it was well hidden behind a solid cover of clouds. It was while we were having breakfast and watching the Weather Network that they mentioned we could expect on and off showers for the remainder of the day. As if on cue the announcer had just finished making that statement and the clouds opened up to start washing the dirt from the pavement and vehicles in the parking lot. No matter what we tried to get into today the knowledge that there were three apartment showings today seemed to put a damper on things so after cleaning up after lunch we headed out to see what else we could accomplish.

More for the sake of passing time we stopped in at Canadian Tire to do some walking and to check out their inventory. Since we’ll be leaving to head south in November we mentioned to the kids that we’d be combining the Canadian Thanksgiving with Christmas starting this year. When we walk around stores anytime we get ideas of what to buy as gifts but then other times just the right article will jump out at us as a special gift. Since we’ll be celebrating Christmas early this year we also started our shopping for it today.

We also mentioned lately that we were looking for a plastic yard shed to put out at our site at Wildwood Golf and RV Park. Earlier this morning I’d mentioned to Kathy that Canadian Tire had a shed on sale but when we read the specifications it would have been too large. We found another we thought would fit the bill but it had to be ordered from the warehouse which was fine because we can’t install it until the end of April anyway. After ordering it the department clerk told us they’d be calling early next week but if we couldn’t make it until next Thursday we’ll be able to take the discount offered of a hundred dollars off the cost of the shed. Darn I think we’ll have to wait to get it.

We drove to the far end of Windsor in another attempt of getting out TracFone to update its minutes and time which continually displays across the screen. Wearing my raincoat I even stood by the river’s edge and called our apartment which meant the call was being sent to the US and back to our home in Tecumseh. The phone still didn’t update so I definitely will be calling the TracFone Company.

Our last stop was at Walmart where we did some grocery shopping. Unfortunately it was nearly 6:00 so we stopped at the instore McDonalds where we used a coupon to have supper. They say don’t shop on an empty stomach and we’ve noticed that when we use coupons to eat out like that it can be cheaper that buying all the ingredients and making it ourselves.

All around we didn’t accomplish anything at the apartment but we did manage to order the shed to help us start our Fulltiming Adventure at the park and we’ll even save money on it. We also managed to start our shopping for an early celebration that is now only seven months away for us. Tomorrow we hope to accomplish more towards our goal of Fulltiming. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
