Slow Day Of Celebration.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

I must have been more tired than expected because when my head hit the pillow last night the next thing I knew the sun was seeping around the edges of the bedroom curtains. The worst part was that it was already 9:00 in the morning. While I made the morning coffees Kathy busied herself making toast which is a rarity to start the day with carbs. Again we finished our coffees at the computers while we read our E-mail and morning blogs.
It was nice reading of how other bloggers were planning on spending Easter with their families. After finding other things of interest to read we managed to have a light late lunch because we would be going out for supper as well. At that point I removed the bathroom shelving unit in preparation for tomorrow morning as the buyer planned to pick it up shortly after 9:00.  Once that was finished we returned to the computers where Kathy opened a fresh E-mail from the buyer of the shelf saying she had forgotten about an early doctor’s appointment and asked if after 5:00 would be better. She is eight months pregnant but that also means that we’ll be able to get things accomplished in the morning.
At 4:30 we arrived at our daughter Karen’s home for Easter Celebration bringing a nice Carrot Cake that we brought for dessert. Greg was outside grilling the vegetables on the grill while Karen was cutting the spiral sliced Ham from the bone. Tyler was helping to set the table while giving us more inside information from yesterday’s hockey game. Kathy helped make a wonderful Caesar Salad and even though I offered to help they told me to just sit down.
Minutes later Bob and Ginny arrived so Karen and Greg started putting the dishes on the counter where everyone served themselves. Conversation kept flowing throughout the meal on a number of subjects but especially hockey. As I mentioned yesterday Tyler will be leaving the Bantam division because of his age and moving up to the Midget division in September.
(L to R) Bob, Tyler, Kylla and Ginny.
We had an enjoyable visit but we headed back to the apartment shortly after 8:00 and while Kathy had a small bag of popcorn for a snack I got to eat the leftover Caesar salad that I brought home from supper. The weather guessers were all forecasting severe thunderstorms late this afternoon. Well they were only off by about six hours because by 9:00 we could hear the distant sound of thunder accompanied by a steady falling rain. That will help us to sleep soundly tonight.

Again Kathy and I hope that you and your families had a Happy Easter. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
