Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario,
Canada.
Even though we both slept throughout the
night we both tossed and turned until we woke up this morning. Since that is
really not a restful way to sleep we both slept past our normal wake up time. I
had the curtains in the other rooms all open, everything ready to finish making
breakfast and over half my morning reading completed before deciding that Kathy
had to wake up or she wouldn’t sleep properly tonight.
Kathy was shocked when she saw the time
on the clock and thanked me for waking her but still felt like she could have
slept longer. We finished our morning reading with our coffees in hand. Once I received
the word that my computer was ready to pick up we had an early lunch before
heading out.
The Weather
Network had warned us of gusty winds today but the car is very aerodynamic.
Imagine my surprise when the 45 mph wind gusts were moving the car around.
There were plenty of clouds in a mostly sunny sky but looking in the direction
of Essex Kathy and I could see what looked like
rain falling. We were driving on dry pavement but as we entered town you could
see water puddles all over the place.
Arriving at SX Video Zac brought it out and
demonstrated that everything was working properly. He had totally removed Onedrive as it kept trying to put
everything in one file and not leave them separated. He also had to remove Edge as it kept shutting any website he
went to off. He tried the Google Chrome
with the same negative results (that surprised me) so he made the old Internet Explore the default search
engine and everything is connecting and staying online. Both OneDrive and Edge are part of the Widows 10 office package but he could not make
them work on this machine. Unfortunately he couldn’t recover the deleted files
but he did all that at a very reasonable price.
Kathy needed a snap once we got back to
the apartment while I started reloading all the pictures from the old laptop to
the new one. Once that was completed I needed to make other personal
adjustments thus making it more comfortable to use. The important files that I lost
are partly store on other computers so with a little time and patience I’ll be
able to recreate them.
After finishing the supper dishes we
drove over to our daughter Karen’s home to pick up our
granddaughter Kylla. She had asked the other day if she could come with us the
next time we went out to see our son Kevin and
daughter-in-law Melissa (her uncle and aunt). When we arrived to pick her up she’d
just had an argument with her boyfriend so she wasn’t very talkative on the way
out to Amherstburg. Once everyone started talking her
problem was no longer a problem but a solution and before long she was laughing
and joking like everyone else. Now she understands why we say we always have a
good visit when we see Kevin and Melissa and she was thankful that she came
along.
Hopefully this won’t be a shock to some
of you but I know I prefer a blog with some pictures and unfortunately our old
backup laptop just won’t do it. Learning Windows
10 is a challenge at the moment but like everything else I’ll adapt. With
less than 45 days to our Fulltiming
Adventure we can hardly wait. Thanks for
following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
