Made It Official And Gave Our Notice.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Even with the Sleepy Time Tea I kept waking throughout the night. Finally by 7:30 I was sitting at the computer getting an early start on my morning reading and it was only minutes later that Kathy got up. On our return from the grocery store yesterday the egg carton slipped out of the bag and landed on the floor resulting in three cracked eggs. Since they only cracked we covered them in Saran Wrap in a dish and used them for scrambled eggs this morning for breakfast.

After completing our morning reading on the computers we printed out a document that we both signed. We then headed downstairs to the office where we met Dan the building manager and presented it to him. The letter was our notice that we would be moving and our final date here would be April 30th of this year. I had kind of hinted to him sometime back that we were considering going Fulltime and this only sealed the deal that we were serious about the move. We basically visited for the next half hour and Dan said we’ll be missed not just from the business end of our being here but also socially.

Kathy decided we needed a break from packing and she was starting to get a bit of Cabin Fever from all the packing. We decided to go to an afternoon movie and since this was Tuesday it only costs us five dollars each to get in and since we still have gift cards to use it was all paid for. The movie we saw was the Revenant with Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role. This movie is based on a documented case and had already won a number of Golden Globe Awards. We gave it two thumbs up and are quite sure that it should win a number of Academy Awards as well.

Since we’d gone to the mall for the movie and it was past 6:00 by the time it ended we simply used coupons and had supper at the food court before coming home. Tomorrow we’ll be back getting things packed away in an effort to starting our Fulltiming Adventure on time.

I still haven’t found a picture for the Honey Garlic Chicken Wings but did manage to post the recipe on Kathy’s Recipes page at the top of the blog under the Followers List. Speaking of Followers Kathy and I would like to welcome Nancy and Joe from the blog post An Indian and a Gypsy as our latest followers. We’ve been following Nancy and Joe for a long time and they might even be able to drop us some hints when we start our Fulltiming this spring. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

You know you're getting old when

People call at 9 pm and ask, "Did I wake you?"

  1. Interesting your take on Revenant. We had friends who watched it and said it was unrealistic so we didn't go. Maybe we should.

  2. Glad Dan was so understanding. But y'all handled it very professionally. Good job.
