Accomplishing Something.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Without the use of any medication other than Kathy’s Antibiotics neither of us took anything else for the cold/flu virus that we’ve both been fighting. We both managed to wake up feeling more refreshed this morning than any other day in the last two weeks. We also woke up to something that we were not looking forward to but this is Canada. Opening the drapes this morning we were nearly blinded by the light shining off a fresh blanket of s@#w that had fallen through the night. Watching the Weather Network while having breakfast showed we weren’t just dealing with s@#w but frigid windchills as well. With that in mind it wasn’t difficult to rationalize today would be a good day to accomplish indoor chores.
Taken at 8:30 this morning though our balcony door.
After completing our morning computer reading Kathy began going through the stockpile of toiletries from the trailer as well as from our storage room she managed to do a lot of downsizing by simply topping off partial containers from other partial containers. I busied myself sorting our clothes and bed linens for the laundry. Remember it’s been two weeks since the last time I did it and we’ve been sick since then. By the time I got downstairs the laundry room was empty so it didn’t take long to get it all started.
Our poor truck doesn't look happy.
Back at the apartment Kathy had just finished cleaning the apartment and was starting to make lunch. I had just enough time to go back downstairs and move the clothes from the washers to the dryers before Kathy was ready to serve lunch. While eating we could hear the sounds of the plows clearing the parking lot but we still had no intention of going outside. It took me nearly two hours to fold all the laundry. Kathy had been busy doing more sorting while I was gone.

We finally received the final bill from Verizon and even though Kathy attempted to pay it online it just wouldn’t allow her to do so. I had to call them by phone in order to pay this bill. Twice I was talking to an agent and would suddenly get disconnected. Strange how I got the bill payed the third time after I complained of the last two disconnects.

Listening to the howling wind and watching people freeze while walking their dogs outside Kathy and I were more than happy to stay inside today. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  2. Hmm that truck looks pretty sad, need sunshine and warmth.
We had never had issues with Verizon in 5 years, no contract just prepay it by the month.

  3. Maybe you should try the "old wives tale". You cut a thick slice of onion and wrap it around your foot with plastic wrap and then put a sock on. Wear it to bed. Should be feeling better by morning. Honestly, I think some of these old remedies are better than any new ones! My Great-Grandma had slices of onion above her doors in her house for years. You never could smell them. Once in a while, she would replace them. They are supposed to pull the germs out of the air (and skin)....I'm trying it next time I get a cold.
