Return To Hockey But Our Progress Continues.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

We both managed to have difficulty falling asleep last night but then we finally drifted off to dreamland. My dream must have been a short story because after only an hour of sleep I was wide awake for the next four hours. Kathy knew of my absence so she waited until 8:30 before waking me for breakfast this morning. We had a 9:30 appointment with John who was interested in the exercise room mirror we are selling. So after breakfast and getting dressed we sat at the computers to get caught up on our morning reading. That was when Kathy found the E-mail stating John’s wife had needed the car to get to work but he was still interested in the mirror. They corresponded back and forth with John finally agreeing to pay our fuel if we delivered it to his home.

By 10:00 we were headed to the South Walkerville district of Windsor. There was slight flurries coming down but no accumulation. Luckily there were no vehicles parked in front of John’s home and Kathy only had to introduce herself and he was all smiles handing her the agreed upon cash.

Since we’ve been under the weather with a cold/flu virus for the last couple of weeks it almost felt strange when we arrived at the New Belle River Arena to watch our grandson Tyler play hockey. We made certain not to visit outside the rink area so that if someone were spreading any new germs hopefully the cold air would neutralize them. Since Tyler is such a diverse player and his team was short on defensemen so that was the position that he played today. The game was nonstop action but in the end Tyler’s team would prevail with a score of 5 to 2. After the game I was speaking with his coach who was looking for exercise weights for his own son. Strangely I have quite a large set that I need to find a new home for because they won’t be coming in the trailer.

Instead of driving directly home we went to Walmart looking for just the right sized storage container for the glass shelves for the Curio Cabinet we’ll be storing. We found what we thought was the proper size container but when we got it home found out that bins are labeled according to the largest exterior sizes not the inside size. We also stopped at Staples where we purchased more Bubble and Saran Wraps to use for our packing. We’ll be doing more searching for the container tomorrow.
Tyler's team won 5 to 2.
While Kathy continued wrapping things for storage I located all the SD cards that I had not downloaded to my PC because the Hard Drive didn’t have the capacity. I loaded them instead to my laptop where after discarding out of focus or bad pictures I’ll add them to the Desktop Hard-Drive for permanent storage. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
