Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.
It was bound to happen and early last evening I started
getting a scratchy throat just like Kathy described to me of her recent symptoms.
By the time I headed to bed my throat felt more than scratchy it felt raw. The first
thing I did was to take a cough medicine that most Canadian readers can relate
to but unfortunately it is not sold in the US. I took a good dose of Buckley’s
which Kathy could not do because of many of the prescribed medications that she
is on. I woke around 4:30 this morning still felling my sore throat so another
dose of Buckley’s was taken before going back to sleep. We both slept in late
this morning Kathy still on antibiotics and me having an after-breakfast spoon
of Buckley’s. (The advertisement says it taste terrible but it works. Matter of
opinion but it does work.)
We had a number of things we worked on the computers this
morning before working together to make lunch. Kathy was excited about the
responses she was getting over yesterday’s blog post that she struggled to put
together as she was fighting her cold/flu.
Shortly after having lunch while back at the computers we
were startled by the scheduled Firm
Alarm Test that we’d forgotten about. While retrieving my tea from the
dining room I just happen to look at our front door monitor as a delivery
person was looking at the call pad. Since we were expecting a delivery I was
picking up the phone as it began to ring and sure enough it was our delivery.
It was our Rewards Points Award that
we had been waiting for.
We needed to make a few phone calls later in the afternoon in
order to get some banking issues answered. Unfortunately the rest of afternoon
was spent waiting for the electrician to arrive and fix our living room heater
that doesn’t run cool or shut off. Just before 5:00 this afternoon our building
manager Dan knocked on our door telling us the electrician wouldn’t make it
until Friday.
Again we worked together to make supper and when we watched
the 6 o’clock news the weather guessers said we could expect warmer but wet
weather for the next few days before experiencing flurries and frigid temperatures.
We’ll see what tomorrow has to give us when it arrives in the meantime we’ll
just take care of ourselves. Thanks for following along and feel free
to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

ReplyDeleteSore throat, fire alarms, delayed electrician. Sounds like a typical day to me.
ReplyDeletesoooo was the Reward Points Award the yellow hot rod???

We are due to have the same weather about half a day ahead of you. We are a tad bit north of you as it comes across us and then the lake... towards Detroit.
It's strange to look out and see rain today, the snow is all crusty hard and solid and icy, and the rain will freeze up with the bitter cold snap coming. then we will REALLY have ice!
