Kathy’s Slow Recovery And Furniture Leaving.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Kathy actually managed to get a slightly better night’s sleep last night only waking a few times with an uncontrollable cough. As soon as we finished having breakfast the first thing she did was to take her morning medication with another dose of Antibiotic in an attempt of ridding herself of this terrible cold/flu that has almost totally incapacitated her for the last few days.

Our grandson Tyler had another hockey game today but like yesterday Kathy was just too weak and ill to even think of attending. While she relaxed in the recliner I again tried unsuccessfully a few more tricks in hopes of getting the PC to recognize the Storage Hard-drive. We also have one of the electric baseboard heaters in our apartment that stays on even when we shut it off and is uncontrollable at setting the heat to a comfortable setting. I checked the office but since this is Sunday our building manager was off-duty. I’ll report the issue in the morning.

Shortly after 2:30 Karen and Greg arrived with a utility cart to pick up the livingroom furniture we are giving them as part of our downsizing to become Fulltimers. Just like yesterday Greg and I thought that it would be easier to separate the two halves of the loveseat making it not only easier and lighter to handle here at the apartment but easier to handle when bringing it down to the basement in their home. We were only able to load the one loveseat and the rocker/recliner in their short-box truck so Greg suggested leaving the other loveseat until tomorrow after he gets off work so Kathy and I would be able to sit comfortably to watch the television. Kathy had gotten dressed before the kids arrived so she’d look like she was doing better than she was but Karen was surprised how sick her mother was looking compared to the last time she’d seen her.

Since we only had a light snack for lunch we had our Chicken Noodle Soup for supper tonight. We were happy that Greg left the second loveseat for us to use this evening. I’ll be hoping that Kathy will be feeling somewhat better tomorrow because she is really suffering through this illness. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. It's always a good thing to have people you can give the furniture too instead of having to deal with advertising and selling it.

  2. Glad to read that Kathybis getting better. Paul had a terrible cold over the Christmas holiday, and I just got over mine.

Sounds like y'all are making lots of progress for your transition to full timing. Good job.

  3. Glad that Kathy is improving and the furniture is flying out the door.
Soon you will be out in the wide open spaces.
