Super Hot Day and Multiple Spreadsheet Modifications.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

It was another tossing and turning night for the both of us that had us sleeping past 8:00 this morning in order to feel half way rested. Watching the Weather Network while we had our breakfast did nothing to encourage us to go outside. Our high for the day would reach 95 F (35 C) but with the humidity would feel more like 113 F (45 C).  Couple that with all the pollen still floating in the air that would make it nearly impossible for Kathy to survive away from the AC.

After completing our morning reading on the computers using a memory stick I copied some files from Kathy’s computer. She noticed that the spreadsheet I had created for her to keep track of our expenditures needed additional categories added. I managed to have the template file modified by the time she called me for lunch.

We were in desperate need of a few groceries so Kathy waited inside the building while I brought the truck around. She struggled to walk the thirty feet to the truck due to the warmth of the air. Reversing the process when we arrived at the Zehrs Grocery Store she was recovering inside by the time I got in. Once we were finished there I loaded the truck before driving over to pick her up as close to the door as I could get.

We had to stop at Shoppers Drug Mart so she stayed inside the air conditioned truck while I ran in to get some vitamin pills we both take. At the apartment I loaded everything into a shopping cart and got it inside before Kathy traveled the fifteen feet to the door. By the time I got inside she had most of our purchases already put away.

Back to my task on the spreadsheet I had nearly completed the conversion when Kathy suggested something else that she needed. That wasn’t too bad within an hour I had made her requested change when I suddenly noticed a problem with another column. Pointing it out to Kathy I spent the next hour correcting that issue just in time for Kathy to call me for supper.

Kathy had made a wonderful Spinach Salad topped with a Chicken Salad for our protein. It tasted great and left us both feeling satisfied.

I returned to finish my chore and was starting to transfer Kathy’s entries on a couple of the files when I decided it was time to write the post giving me a break from the spreadsheets. I had been so transfixed on accomplishing this chore today that I forgot to watch the local news at 6:00. On the weekends our local news is only broadcast at that time and the 11 o’clock news is for the London area.

Hopefully I’ll complete my task tonight and it won’t be so hot outside tomorrow. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. When it's hot, it's miserable no matter where you are.

  2. Hot doesn't bother me so much. It is when it is mixed with humidity that drives me nuts.

  3. We are lucky the heat does not bother us much either, where air conditioning does, so glad we don't need it much.
