Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.
Kathy had a somewhat restless night last night because every
time she rolled over she sensed my absence in bed. No matter what I tried I just
could not stay asleep. At best I had two hours of sleep total.
Once we’d finished breakfast shortly before 9:00 we sat at
the computers and got caught up on our morning reading. The Weather Network had
again posted a high heat and storm warning for our area but instead of feeling
like 113 F (45 C) like yesterday it would only feel like 109 F (43 C) today. Those
few degrees is a big difference working outside so it was like a green light for
me to spend the day working on Kathy’s spreadsheet project.
Today I busied myself transferring data that Kathy had
already put on the old programs and then separating them in the appropriate categories.
I had that nearly three quarters completed when I came across two more
categories that had to be created. Showing Kathy the problem she reluctantly
agreed so by supper time I’d gotten all the old files corrected. Now I just have
to remodify the Template File so that I can produce the future files with ease.
With it being so hot outside again we left early and went to
A&W
where we used a coupon and saved nearly 40 percent off our bill. Again I picked
up Kathy as close to the door as possible and dropped her off as close as
possible to protect her from the heat.
Along with the high heat warning our area was also under a
severe storm warning. Due the weather report the organizer of Matthew’s soccer
league once again rented the indoor soccer field at the old Windsor Ice
Palace. Even though most of the players would have preferred to play
outside they appreciated the cooler environment they had to play in. With the
field size being smaller than the outdoor field the game was much quicker with
a lot more action and goals.
At the halftime break while most of the other players were
off resting our grandson Matthew was busy practicing with a few other players. When
the game resumed Matthew not only assisted on a couple of goals but also
managed to score one unassisted. In the end Matthew’s team won by a single goal
giving them the first place position for this year. Next week is another
tournament so we’ll have to wait and see where they are playing.
Other than a few rain drops on our windshield on our way to
the game the storms seem to have gone around us. Thanks for following along and
feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

Matthew has a great work ethic. He sounds like he is self-motivated. That will get him big places when he is older. Congratulations.
