Some Like It Hot.

Our Location today is Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA.

For many years I never remembered dreaming when I slept and I always slept soundly. So when I woke up just before 6:00 from a dream my mind would not stop working so I never fell back to sleep. Finally my back told me it was time to stop laying around shortly after 7:00. Old habits are hard to break!  I managed to have all my morning reading done long before Kathy woke up around 8:00.
These two were checking out the empty RV sites.
What do you get when a campground laundry room only charges a dollar a load for washing or drying? In today’s economy More Laundry! We had talked of different things we would be washing from the trailer once we got back home. With prices this low it would be a dumb move to wait until we got home to take care of it.

I stripped the bedding including the bed cover and mattress pad off our bed and all the blankets and headed for the laundry room. Since the weather was clear and the amount of laundry lighter than the other day I chose to walk instead of using the truck like I did the other day. Unfortunately when I got there the last of the ten washers was being filled. It seems we weren’t the only ones that thought the same about these low prices. Luckily I’d brought a puzzle book to occupy the time it took before starting our wash and afterwards.
Mud Crab directly behind our trailer.
It was past 1:30 by the time I got back to the trailer when Kathy immediately made lunch after I walked in. While I’d been gone Kathy had noticed that our park has the same kind of Mud Crabs the same as we found in the Secret Woods on Saturday so she was able to use our large camera and get some pictures in for today’s blog right from inside the trailer. She also noticed that the sky was no longer clear but threatening making her wonder if I would make it home dry. Once we’d eaten and I’d reassembled the bed we both did some more reading on the computer.

For supper Kathy microwaved an Acorn Squash to go with macaroni and cheese and leftover ham and cherry cheesecake from yesterday’s supper. Again it all tasted delicious and we were well satisfied but not stuffed.

After washing the supper dishes we again went walking around the park to wear off some of the food we’ve been eating. Tomorrow will be a busy day for us as we get ready to move on down the road. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. We find the majority of parks we stay at charge only one dollar to wash and dry, so makes it very economical for us.
