Two Celebrations.

After only a brief time in my Recliner last night, I tried getting some sleep in Bed. With plenty of tossing and turning, it was only minutes after 7:00 before I got up to start my day.

Shortly after, I sent a Text to our grandson Tyler, to wish him a Safe and Happy Birthday, that he probably got while at work. They grow so fast!

I was half way through reading all the morning Blogs we follow, when Kathy came out to join me. As a way of cutting back on Calories it was another Bran Muffin and Yogurt Cup breakfast.

It was past 1:00 when we headed out the door. Our first stop was the nearby Shoppers Drug Mart to take advantage of Senior's Discount Thursday. It is still a few weeks away, but I picked up the Vitamins that I'll need to fill both our Pill Doucettes for Six Weeks. I also helped Kathy to find a few Makeup Items she needed. She like many women, forget that the manufactures are constantly change their packaging as a way of drawing new customers. I keep telling her to keep the packaging for the hard to find ones, for the next time, but she always throws it out.

From there I had planned on taking Kathy to the Michigan Diner for a commemorative supper but that didn't happen. As I was legally making a Left Turn on the advanced Traffic Signal, some punk ran the Red, smoking his tires around the corner. (Where are the Police when you need them?) Luckily, I veered back avoiding any collission, but missed the driveway. Instead of driving around the block and back I simply turned into Wendy's for supper.

One of the workers that we have gotten to know over the last couple of years, kept saying she knew us from somewhere else. Today she remembered serving us at the Wendy's location on Howard Avenue not far from the Devonshire Mall. At that time we owned a house, only a few blocks away.

As for our Special Ceelebration, it was not for our grandson's Birthday, but in celebration of our first date 26 Years ago and it hasn't stopped since.

Back at the Apartment we found a couple "Law and Order" programs to watch. When it came time to watch the "11 o'clock Local News", it was preempted by Thursdy Night Football. Then to make matters worse, they went into Overtime. Kathy went to Bed and I finished the Blog.

More Creations and Planning.

There was no fighting the urge last night, after just over an Hour of sleep in my Recliner, the rest of the night was spent sleeping in Bed. Another bonus was that I didn't wake until 8:00 had passed.

I had barely started getting things ready for breakfast when I could hear noise from the Bedroom. That was Kathy already opening the Window Blinds and making the Bed for the day.

We had a bad start, when I knocked over my glass of Breakfast Juice. Of course, it was over the edge of the table before it could be wiped up. There was still enough to take my morning Vitamins and Medications.

We enjoyed our morning Coffees at the Computers. After checking "The Weather Network", I began reading Blogs we follow. There was a greater number this morning, some that have not written in some time. Some are changing their Travel Modes as well as their form of Accommodations for the coming Winter. We can only wish them Safe Travels and hope that they Enjoy their adventures. We'll keep our fingers crossed that we might be able to join them as soon as next year.

We finished the Leftover Stir-Fry in the form of Veggie Wraps for our lunch.

It appears that we will have a couple days of Seasonal Temperatures, before it warms up again for the Weekend. There was more research to be done this afternoon, so it was an acceptable reason for remaining on the Computer.

Our daughter Karen called as she was crawling along in traffic, due to more Construction Detours.

After asking how hungry Kathy was feeling, we settled for a Homemade Salad for supper. There was Lettuce, Onions, Mushrooms, Cherry Tomatoes and Italian Dressing. It was nice not overeating and remaining satisfied.

We later watched a couple of episodes of "The Rookie", before watching the "11 o'clock Local News" this evening. A story of interest, is that some boaters have taken pictures of a Two-Foot-Long Alligator on the shores of Belle Isle in the Detroit River, which is visible from the shores of Windsor. The theory is someone simply discarded a pet. The proble is that it won't survive our Cold Winter Temperatures.

With Seniors Discounts tomorrow, we'll be taking advantage of them. We'll also try to get the Truck running again.
