Washed Up and Wondering Why.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

After having my new customary start to my night in my Recliner, I was able to finish it off in Bed, I was feeling good. What I did find strange, was that I woke up early, without the help of the Alarm.

The overnight Rain we had continued well into the afternoon, which suited our Plans for the day. Once gain we settled for Cereal for a source of energy that we would call breakfast. Though we moved our Coffees near to our Computers, we were busy organizing what we needed to pull it off. After getting more Calls from a few Doctor’s Offices to confirm appointments, we modified our Plans.

We managed to get downstairs to the Second Floor Laundry Room minutes after noon. We weren’t the only ones thinking that this would make the perfect Laundry Day, so we had to wait until Washers became available. That would also mean that it was past 4:00 by the time we finished putting all the folded clothes away in the drawers.

Luckily, the temperature only reached 83 F (28.3 C) this afternoon, but working away folding clothes had us both sweating. We had a small dish of Sorbet, that helped cool us down and hold our appetites off for a few more hours.

What we hadn’t finished earlier, was to make up our Bed with the freshly washed linens. Once that was finally over, we shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Spinach Pizza with added sliced Olives, for a late supper.

We were watching a couple episodes of “The Rookie”, when I used a Commercial break to turn down the Bed. That also includes closing the window Blinds, that also gives me a quick view of the parking lot, where our Car and Truck are parked. Since having the License Plates stolen from our Car and the Truck was broken into, resulting in stolen Tools, I do this often. What surprised me tonight was to have a bird’s eye view of a Police Car just idling, with no visible actions taking place. I returned a few times to see the Patrol Car still there, for nearly an Hour, before disappearing from sight.

We finished the night, by watching the “11 o’clock Local News”. We are looking at nice weather for the next week.

153rd and A Happy Birthday Wish.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Last night’s sleep was a bit of an improvement, even though I knew the Alarm was set. I believe the tiredness, that had been building over the last few days, may have helped me to sleep. Also not having to rush out the door at an early hour this morning, may have also helped in the recovery.

Needing a bit of energy to tide us until lunch, we settled for a bowl of Cereal. I even had time to do my On-Line Questionnaire, before we headed out. The morning breeze was comfortable, until you stepped out into the direct Sunlight, then the feeling that your skin was being cooked through your clothes took over.

The fact that this wasn’t Rush-Hour, made travelling the roads trouble free. That also meant we arrived at the Canadian Blood Services early enough, that they rescheduled my appointed time, to get me through sooner. It was nice to see more Donors in, considering the last few visits, they were scarce. One of the Nurses, Angela recalled some Donors complaining about the Road Construction causing them problems. They used that as an excuse to say they would be back, when the Construction was gone. We were headed to the Car by 11:30, after I completed my 153rd Blood Donation.

We headed over to Pita Pit, to take advantage of their $7.00 Specials for lunch. I’ve said it before, this is Healthy Fast Food. We just sat down to eat, when the place suddenly had Customers lined up, outside the door.

With the Humidex already at the Century Mark we headed for home. Before getting tied up on the Computer, I called my Sister Anna in London, to wish her a Happy Birthday. She’s also learned to stay inside during these warmer days.

It was nearly 5:00 when we realized that we had forgotten to run an errand today, so we once again headed out the door. I hadn’t gotten anything ready for supper before we left, so the first place we stopped was Wendy’s for our meal. Their Coupons really help lower our costs.

We then headed over to the Bulk Barn to get some healthy snacks at a reduced price. I was a little shocked at the cost, then found they had not given us their Wednesday Seniors Discount. That added up to nearly a Twelve Dollar Savings.

Coming out to the Car, we noted Black Clouds heading our way and a few drops of Rain on the windshield. I dropped Kathy at the front entrance to our building, before parking the Car. I had just gotten inside the Apartment, when the Rain really started coming down.

We later watched a few episodes of “Mayday” before the “11 o’clock Local News”. It looks like tomorrow will be quite wet for us before cooling down.

We’ll see what tomorrow brings.

That’s Sharp.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Though it was another unsettling night going back and forth between my Recliner and Bed a few times, it was a good thing that I had set the Alarm to wake us this morning. Neither of us really wanted to get up, but when remembering the alternative to these appointments, we were not about to miss it.

Today, the appointment was set for Kathy to have Blood Testing done for not for one Doctor, but Two. We arrived at Dyna-Care blood labs in Tecumseh with a few minutes to spare. As this location becomes better known, more patients are scheduling appointments there. That is the difference between this and the other Windsor location. This location only deals with those that have appointments, while the other, only takes walk-ins that can take up to Three Hours to process. (We’ve Been There.) There was a delay, so Kathy walked out Five Minutes late today.

Kathy also had to Fast for one of these Tests, so when she Fasts, I Fast. Our first stop afterwards was to get breakfast at Wendy’s. Even without a Coupon, the price was right, the food and Coffee tasted good.

Since it is also that time of month, (Not That) we headed to the Credit Union so we could get some of our special banking taken care of. Unfortunately, from there we had to go to the Bank to finish the extra step.

With part of supper for tonight already defrosted, we headed for home. The Humidex would reach 108 F (42 C) this afternoon, so we figured we’d rest up for tomorrow in the Air-Conditioned Apartment.

It was close to 2:00 when Kathy hinted that she was starting to feel hungry, so I started cleaning our Fridge again. We both enjoyed a couple cobs of Peaches and Cream Corn each. By cooking it with its Husk on in the Microwave for Two Minutes per ear, it only requires a single cut, and you can squeeze out the ear Husk-Free.

When 7:00 rolled around, we sat down to enjoy Sauteed Potato Slices and Peppers along with Honey Garlic Spareribs. We also enjoyed a small dish of Sorbet for dessert.

I always make certain that the Knives I use for cooking are Sharp and I also know how to cautiously handle them. As we were finishing our meal, I had a Pain in the tip of my Index Finger. When I examined it, I noted not One, but Three Small Cuts, running parallel to each other, with only the thickness of a piece of paper between. I don’t recall cutting myself, but that tells you how shark that Knife was.

We later watched “Forensic Files” before watching the “11 o’clock Local News”. Looks like we’ll have a few wet days, before getting back to Seasonal Forecasts.

We’ve got the Alarm set again for tomorrow morning.
