It was strange that Mile was not at the Plant when I arrived this morning. After verifying yesterday’s jobs as being finished, we moved on to a quick repair before loading the Feedscrew with the damaged Spline. It was past 9:30 before the “Begin to Weld” button was pressed.
This was a new concept for Sorough, having done Flights and Mixers on New and Rebuild Units. This was a first for using the Rotary Stepover feature. Once the throat of the Shank was filled, the next time the button was pushed, it would take the entire shift to complete.
Kathy managed to do some grocery shopping this morning along with her walking exercise.
Sorough was amazed how well this weld feature work and was able to take over while I did last minute touch-ups at the Inspection Bench. Being dependent on rides, he left when the shift ended, leaving me to bury the Unit in the Sandbox.
We shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Pizza for supper due to its convenience, and assortment.
Still counting the days down.

Rick, hope you can share some pictures of all the stuff you talk about at work before you retire.
