We managed to get the Plasma Transfer Arc doing what it was meant to do early today. The welds were turning out perfect, though we try not to Jinx the progress by speaking it out loud, Sorough just could not contain himself. The result was we had to touch-up Four Undercuts, before we buried it in the Sandbox after lunch.
Kathy was happy to hear from me during break. She stayed close to home, thinking it was cold outside. She must not have seen all the Joggers running around in shorts.
We managed to load the Feedscrew, that we’ll start working on tomorrow in the PTA. We also managed to load all the information into the Computer’s Spreadsheet, not only for that Unit but another smaller Screw. Using information from other jobs I was able to calculate having them both finished in a single shift. Since the Propane Suppliers will be working on the Tank on Wednesday, that will give Sorough more practice time at welding with the TIG. He is a fast learner, so he just needs time and practice.
It felt good sitting down for supper with Kathy by 4:30. It also gave us more time to get caught up on everything that happened today.
The 6 o’clock Local News showed we can expect more above seasonal temperatures, this week.
