After saying “Good Morning” to Mile along with a quick glance around the shop this morning, Sorough and I were back to cleaning the Plastic from the Rebuild Feedscrew, we worked on yesterday, By 9:00 it was totally shiny.
It was around that time that Paul our Controller came around. He deals directly with the Customers, while Mile deals with the Products. Lately Mile has been dictating which Units he wants us to work on. Paul had a call from a Customer wanting to know the progress on their Rebuilds. This was not the first time that I saw them go Toe to Toe and in the end Paul won.
We were no longer on cleaning but welding detail. Sorough was in his element knowing that he’d be welding (practicing) on actual Units. In order to speed things up, Sorough used the TIG Welder, to fill notches on the Flights that had to be recut. I used the Arc Welder filling wear marks at the base of the Flights. Strange how both had the same wear marks.
With the Rain we were getting today, Kathy decided it was better to stay home.
Mile was not around this afternoon, but between his Daughter, the Engineer and the Controller things were running like a clock. Both those Feedscrews were finished before we left for the day.
We modified a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Spinach Pizza for supper by adding additional Mozzarella Cheese and Pineapple to it. We were more than satisfied with the tasty results.
Thanks for the words of encouragement. I’m thinking Mile just can’t help himself, because he acts the same with everyone in the Plant.
