Getting an early start on Large Rebuild Feedscrew is always a time saver in the long run. While it was heating up and taking the chill out of the building at the same time, I managed to get Two of the Units we had finished the other day out of the Sandbox.
Lately the Plasma Transfer Arc has been following the information that we enter in its Spreadsheet and giving us great results. That was how things were going today, until just ahead of the second transition, when the Torch did a sudden Left Turn. I was fortunate enough to recover the move, with only a minor touch-up necessary.
Since Sorough is able to operate the PTA, when I was called to do repairs on other Units he took over the task of adding more layers on the Rebuild. Just before lunch he came over, saying he had a problem. Checking it out, the Torch had again veered at the same spot, it had for me, but he messed up the repair. While he was on lunch, I ground out the large Metal Drip, that had been caused by High Amperage and too much Powder. By the time he returned, there was no sign of a problem.
It was nearly 3:00 when I completed the TIG repairs and returned to the PTA. In my absence the Torch had again made a dash that was not in the program, but this time Sorough did a good job of repairing the flaw. Depending on a ride to get home he left at the end of the shift while I completed the rebuild. Vinnie the Engineer and I were the last ones in the building.
Since the Parkway is still under Construction, I’ve had to find alternate ways to get home in a timely manner. Though I prefer the sunlit hours of the day, there are some things better seen in the dark on night. It surprised me how many homes are already decorated, for the Christmas Holidays.
We shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Hawaiian Pizza for supper, while we watched the 6 o’clock Local News.
Looking forward to the coming weekend.
