Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

We managed to stay awake long enough to see the Ball drop on Times Square last night and to get our New Year’s Kiss in. It was not long after that we were crawling between the sheets. That didn’t stop the Aches and Pains from waking me throughout the night. Luckily I managed to stick it out in bed until this morning.

I cautiously made my way in the Living Area to open the Balcony Blinds but it didn’t do any good. Looking at the Radar showed what the problem was and it wasn’t going to get any better. There was a huge Rainstorm coming up from Texas heading in our direction. The problem was as soon as it reached the Ohio/Illinois border it change to a mix of Rain and Flurries. By the time it would cross the International Border it would be all White.

When Kathy woke up to join me she was having a problem. Back in 2018 she had developed Rheumatoid Arthritis in her Left Hand. Our Family Doctor had treated her before we left for the Southwest even giving her extra Medication to bring along. By the following Summer it had totally stopped bothering her. This morning her hand was painful but not swollen so she took a Tylenol Arthritis Tablet and soon the pain subsided.

By the time we took our morning drinks over to the Computers it was looking grey outside and the Vehicles were starting to turn White. When I showed Kathy the Radar she was scared by what she saw but after realizing it wasn’t all going to land on our doorstep she relaxed.

We’d like to thank everyone for the New Years Comments. Around 10:00 our son Ken called wishing us a Happy New Year. We then called our daughter Karen before calling our son Kevin passing the greeting on to them and their families.

When it came time for lunch we tried Campbell’s Split Pea Soup and won’t be looking for it again. Kathy also made a Toasted Cheese Melt for a side with Shortbread Cookies and Chocolate Pudding Cups for dessert.

As soon as we finished cleaning the Dishes and Kitchen Kathy busied herself making a Chocolate Cream Pie. I convinced myself to get back to exercising but I did something different. I took my time and managed to complete Two and a Half Sets of my complete routine. I don’t think those Aches will be bothering me tonight.

Kathy also made Meatballs with Gravy on Egg Noodles for supper with a smattering of the Leftover Feta Cheese we had. Along with the Chocolate Cream Pie with Cool-Whip for dessert she drizzled it with more Chocolate Sauce for added flavour.

Our 6 o’clock Local News was Pre-empted by a special about Mega-Ships starting with one that hauled Livestock. After taking a break we finally watch a movie that was followed by E-Talk that went well past the time our 11 o’clock Local News should have been on.

Not an exciting start to our New Year but we are Safe and Happy. We’ll see what happens tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. One of my favorite pies! Has Kathy tried Tumeric/Curcumin? Works wonders for arthritis!

  2. That rainstorm down in Texas was really snow, even here! Big Bend got a lot, and here, there were 3-4 inches. No worries about shoveling, or any of that as it always disappears within a day or so. But it was beautiful to see. For a change. Looks like a delicious supper! Here's to a good night's sleep for all.

I did not realize until this post that your children's names all begin with the letter K.
