Surprisingly after exercising yesterday the discomfort in my hip was greatly reduced but that didn’t mean I slept any better. My problem was something that I saw in a couple of Blogs we follow just popped in my mind when I was supposed to be sleeping and no matter how hard I attempted to shake it off it just kept coming back. I still managed to be up by 8:00 this morning. It was not a bright sunshine type of day but we have to remember what time of year this is.
After going through my morning ritual I’d already done a few things on the Computer when Kathy joined me. Even though I didn’t toss and turn as much last night the little I did kept her partially awake.
As soon as we finished breakfast and returned to the Computers I was able to print out my Q-Pass. I had already filled out the Questionnaire earlier but didn’t want the sound of the Printer waking Kathy so I simply waited. I also wrote a couple of Questions on the back of the sheet so I would not forget to ask.
Trying to eat according to our activity levels we had Chicken Noodle Soup for lunch along with a Shared Apple, Cookies and a Yogurt Cup for dessert.
Kathy felt like reorganizing the Storage Room this afternoon so she stayed behind when I headed out the door.
My destination was the Canadian Blood Services building which is still open even though our Province is on Lock-Down due to the Coronavirus Outbreak. Each Local Health Unit sets the rules they want everyone to follow and sometimes they make no sense. Even though my Double Layered Cloth Masks have been working fine for me the Local Health Unit wants everyone to wear Surgical Masks. It felt like I was wearing a tissue on my face.
Angela
answered my questions so I’ll pass the information on to any of you
that are or know someone who is a Blood Donor. The Coronavirus
Vaccine like the ones for the Flu will not cause you to
have to delay any future donations. I then mentioned the Arthritic
Pain in my hip and not taking anything for it. I could have taken
Tylenol or any pain reliever other then Aspirin
that does not thin the blood. That’s new just this year. I won’t
suffer again.
While I was making my 127th Blood Donation I began talking with Paul a Tin Smith that I used to work with in the Casting Plants. He is still a long way from retirement.
I swung by Guardian Storage to pick up our Mail before stopping at Dollarama for a few Food Stocks. I was back in the Apartment minutes after 4:30.
We made toasted Bacon and Egg Sandwiches for supper with a couple of Short Bread Cookies for dessert.
On
the 6 o’clock Local News the
number of Coronavirus Cases
slowed down and there were no Deaths
over the last Two Days.
They also talked about the Fortified State of Washington DC for the upcoming Inauguration.
We watched a few minutes of the US News Media but the repetition of the Insurrection got to be a bit too much.
Looking outside a few minutes ago things are starting to turn White. We’ll see how that turns out.

I was advised by my doctor that Omega 3 Fish Oil capsules can also thin one's blood and had to discontinue them for two weeks before the removal of a skin cancer. Just a head's up.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 127! That's something to be proud of!
ReplyDeleteI find Advil very effective for my arthritis and fibromyalgia pain.
ReplyDeleteOur county cases are way down this week. Peterborough county cases are also down. What on earth is going on in Toronto and points south and west to have things so difficult?
It's great that you regularly give blood. Not enough do. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to give blood today and also get answers to your questions.
ReplyDeleteWhile this week our Covid numbers went down, unfortunately, the deaths went up.
