Memorial Reflection Pool and Coronavirus Increases.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Before going to bed last night I looked outside for the final time to find all the vehicles were White on top. Laying in bed I could hear the Wind gusting quite strongly every so often. Minutes after getting up this morning I looked out to see the total overnight accumulation. There wasn’t a single flake left anywhere to be seen.

I managed to get my morning reading started before Kathy got up before 9:00. By the time she joined me I had breakfast on the table. We compared notes and even though we both slept slightly better then the night before it was not without its ups and downs.

The moderate Winds continued blowing in from the west not allowing the temperatures to get above the Freezing Mark the entire day so we sat at our Computers for most of the day.

Kathy made Perogies with Shredded Mozzarella Cheese for lunch then added a Yogurt Cup. Wafer Cookies and a Shared Apple for dessert.

Kathy has become enthralled with what is happening with the lead up to tomorrow’s Inauguration and turned on the US News Media just on time to catch Joe Biden giving his Farewell/Thank You Speech to the people of Delaware. He became very emotional about all the American Lives lost to the Coronavirus telling everyone that “In order to heal you have to remember. Never forget those you lost.” He then boarded a private commercial jet and was flown to Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland.

Later we saw the President Elect and Vice-President Elect with their spouses attend a special dedication at the Memorial Reflection Pool in the Capital where there were 400 Lights all around. Each Light represented a Thousand Lives Lost to the Coronavirus. A front-line Nurse from Detroit that has been treating patients with Coronavirus that has lifted the spirits of her coworkers by singing was there to sing “Amazing Grace” in honour of all those lost to the virus. We’ll watch the Inauguration tomorrow.

Supper was a Medium Store Bought Thin Crust Parisian Pizza. It came out of the oven just on time for us to watch the 6 o’clock Local News.

The low Coronavirus Numbers on the Weekend rebounded adding another Fifteen Deaths today to the Windsor/Essex total. The Vaccines are somehow being delayed again. The Weather Guesser is showing more Flurries along with a warmer day before we go into the Freeze mode. Not sure when we’ll see the Sun again.

  3. We had a rare rain last night. I'm sure the desert is thankful. Unfortunately I slept through the inauguration but I'm thankful it went well and especially that it was peaceful.
