It
felt wonderful not having to sleep with a pile of blankets on top of
us to keep warm last night. That was good for me but Kathy had a hard
time to sleep and when that happens she sleeps longer then she wants
in the morning. I managed to have most of my Computer reading
finished by the time she joined me downstairs. With only chores
planned for the day there was really no rush.
Our Sunrise resembled last night's Sunset. |
The
big thing in the News is the cold Polar
Vortex has arrived causing extreme conditions for everyone
still in the northern States and
Canada. We are fortunate at this
time to have pleasant weather but we will feel the effects of it
through the Weekend and into the beginning of Next Week
before it starts to recover.
For
lunch Kathy demonstrated how she made those Grilled Wraps
yesterday but since it was already comfortable enough to have our
Windows and Door open we didn’t need the Soup.
Today we had Grilled Bacon and Cheese Vegetable Wraps since
she had used the last of the Chicken yesterday. It tasted good
but when she used Two Meats it had a more unique flavouring.
After
eating Kathy got me to set the Weber Q up to grill a
nice Pork Roast. By using the Grill Mat and turning the
temp on Low it would be better than cooking it in the Oven
because of the added flavour.
It
had been Twelve Days since I last emptied our Waste Tanks.
Figuring that things would get busy during the Big Tent Week
(and they did), I had done it last on Thursday the 17th.
There was no smell coming from the Tank yet but pushing ones
luck would not be a good thing to do.
The
way that I transport the Waste Barrel in the bed of the Truck
makes it easier to carry and less of a problem then using the Blue
Boy we had the first winter here. All that would not be possible
if not for using a Macerator that allows me to use the Grey
Water to flush the Black Tank
and pump it up into the
Barrel.
By
the time I arrived at the Dumping Station
there were only the Two Units already dumping ahead of me and
it didn’t take long for a line to form. There are once again
Monitors watching that you have your Permit Stickers
when you go to dump out. I’d barely shut my engine when it was time
to move up. By using a Barrel the way I do it takes less then a
Minute by the time it’s emptied and I’ve rinsed it out.
I
then drove over to the Fresh Water Spigots and
started filling our Fresh Water Barrel just as Bob was
finishing filling his Water Jugs. He was impressed at how easy
it was to get everything rearranged and set up in the back of the
Truck. He and his wife are thinking about selling their house
in Nebraska and start Fulltiming
in their RV. When I told him we already were doing that he
asked if he and his wife could come over and ask us questions. I told
him lots of people are doing it but showed him where we were parked.
He was all smiles when he left.
By
the time I got back to the Trailer Kathy was already taking
the Pork Roast off the Grill and adding Potatoes
as a side. By the time I had filled our Fresh Water Tank it
was time to eat. It all tasted wonderful.
After
supper I even had the chance to exercise with the Weights.
Tonight’s
Sunset
was colourful. Tomorrow
we will make a short visit before stopping back at the Vendors
Area
to see what we missed before. Thank
you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be
Safe and Enjoy!
