It
seemed that we both needed extra sleep this morning as a way of
recovering from the last couple of days especially Kathy who had not
been sleeping well at all.
By the time we settled in at
our Computers we were noticing what seemed to be a steady
stream of RV Traffic heading towards the
La Posa South LTVA Exit. Since the Government Shutdown
has been settled the Offices at the LTVAs
will be open tomorrow and these RVs that were leaving were
just trying to avoid paying their Fees.
While
reading all the Blogs that we follow I was surprised to read
that Deb and Riley from On a long and lonesomeHighway were at the same restaurant as we were and around the
same time. We’ve heard from many of the businesses we visit that
any time the Big Tent is open they just can’t keep up and
last night was a good example of that at Times
Three Family Restaurant. It was utter chaos!
Another
thing is that Kathy and I have been trying to meet Deb and Riley for
some time so we had no idea that they were there at the time. We’ll
have to book a date to meet them before we all head back home.
With
a pleasant increase in Temperature and decrease in Wind
Kathy had me grill the rest of the Spare Ribs that we got
at Coyote Fresh Foods this past
week while she made a wonderful Salad as a side and the last
of the Jell-O for dessert. We made this our large meal of the
day.
After
finishing our meal and washing the dishes we spent the rest of the
day doing minor chores. One that I did was replacing the Folding
Tables and Benches we had brought to the Blogger-Fest
yesterday. I also managed to put my Organizers away in the
Truck that I had removed while it was in the shop but they had
been taking up space in our Basement since.
(L-R) Kathy talking too Sue and Wayne talking to me. |
Since
we haven’t had much time to visit with our friends Wayne and Sue
this past week we suddenly got together for an evening Campfire.
We all had so much to talk about that it was past 10:00 by the time
we said our Good Nights.
Tomorrow
looks like another busy day. Thank
you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be
Safe and Enjoy!

Daytime temps have risen a little .... it's been MUCH nicer.
ReplyDeleteA campfire is always nice and plus friends makes it better.

I have to agree with Nancy and Joe! Great looking campfire. Too bad you missed meeting Deb and Riley at the restaurant..but there's still time!
ReplyDeleteIt was certainly chaotic at the restaurant and I felt sorry for the staff. We had no complaints, we were used quite well once they realized their errors. We both think the food was good but then again we weren't there for the food.
ReplyDeleteI must disagree with your comment about folks leaving the area just so they don't have to pay. I'm sure there are some but not everyone would do that. Some folks would just naturally leave when the tent comes down. They can't charge you back time, they can only charge you for the upcoming camping, so if you aren't going to stay for two more weeks why would you stay until they arrive to charge you for something you aren't going to use?
We have a few necessities to accomplish in the next few days in the surrounding area. Trips to Blythe and Parker are necessary. Perhaps some time after that we can cross paths. We'll have to see.
Nice campfire and nice way to end a busy day with friends.
ReplyDeleteBusy day but really nice campfire
