Before going to far this is a quick reminder that tomorrow January 26th will be the 5th Annual Blogger-Fest being held at the La Posa South LTVA Ramada (Pavilion) between 1:00 and 4:00 As soon as you pass by the office you will see newly made signs by Pauline. Immediately turn north across the culvert and you will see the gathering. Meet like minded individuals. Whether you are a Blogger, Follower or just interested in what is going on stop in for a couple of hours.
I was in the process of opening the Window Shades this morning when the Sun popped over the Mountain Range to the east. As I gathered a few things that needed to go back in the basement Kathy started making her way downstairs. We didn’t waste any time on the Computers until we were satisfied that things were presentable.

After a slight delay Curt called to verify our location. When he said that they were just northeast of the Fulltiming Families group all I could say was they were within walking distance. Minutes later Curt and Glenda arrived and even though this was our first actual meeting it was like meeting friends that we have known for ages. While I was explaining a few things to Curt about the Solar Panels, Batteries, hauling our Fresh Water and Waste Kathy and Glenda were inside sharing information about Fulltime RVing. We were comparing notes on how difficult it is to get On-Line here at Quartzsite when Curt mentioned a friend travelling Five Miles down Arizona 95 where he connects to another Cell Tower with no problems.

If we could have visited yesterday we could have spent more time visiting but they already had plans for today so we had to cut the visit short but they’ll be back in March for an RV Dreams Boondocking Rally on Plomosa Road. We did that last March so when they have some spare time we’ll be able to get together then. After taking pictures along with final Handshakes and Hugs they headed back to their RV.

Since we had thought we would all go out for lunch that’s what Kathy and I did. We went to Families Times 3 Restaurant to have lunch. The place was really packed and it took over a Half an Hour before we got our food but the food was delicious and filling at a reasonable price.
Making a delivery.
Kathy needed some Krazy Glue so we stopped at Family Dollar but walked out empty handed. Our next stop was Herb’s Hardware where there was a selection of those kinds of glues to chose from.

By the time we got back to La Posa South it was just after 3:00 and to most RVers that means Happy Hour. Since we haven’t been able or were not able to drop in on their open invite Happy Hour we thought today was the perfect for it.
(L-R) Bill, Patsy, Suzie, George and Rob.
When we arrived things were just coming together. George and Suzie (Our Awesome Travels), Bill (On Our Way) and Patsy (Chillin’ With Patsy) along with Deb and Tom (Celebrating The Dance) were already talking about their days. After setting up our chairs we were joined by other Ontario residents and friends Rob and Pat along with Ken and Kim. We all had things to say that helped to inform the rest of the group. It was nearly 5:30 when everyone headed home to have supper.

Since we had plans for this evening after a quick stop at our Trailer we went to Carl’s Jr. to have supper. Because of the filling lunch we only needed something lite to eat so we ordered a #18 Special meal for $5.00. That meant Kathy had a Double Cheeseburger and a Cookie while I had a Spicy Chicken Sandwich with a small French Fry. We shared the Pop and were soon on our way to our next stop.
The hall was filling up a half hour before start time.
We were once again at the Desert Sky Theater to attend the Ricky Nelson Remembered concert. Since we had not gotten out tickets before we ended up in the cheap seats towards the back of the hall. The center wall that separates the Main Hall into Two had been raised allowing for a crowd of at least Three Hundred People.
Gunnar and Matthew Nelson honouring their father.
The special draw to this show was that it was being performed by Ricky Nelson’s twin sons Matthew and Gunnar who are now in their Fifties. There were no cheap jokes but a lot of history about the family and the musicians and singers that were always around their home as they grew up presented in an amusing way. They both took lead on many of the different songs that their father made famous as well as a couple of their own that they will soon be releasing on their own. The show lasted over an Hour and a Half with no Intermission and ended with an applause that was nearly deafening.
Hoping to see you at Blogger-Fest tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
